Great experience from beginning to end. The steak was one of the best I've had, they had a chefs special ( bone in Filet) it was cooked perfectly. Our server went above and beyond and was very knowledgable. Recommended a great bottle of wine, apps, and sides. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Boston.

We walked into the restaurant without reservation and we were fortunate to be accommodated without waiting (although the place was busy). The waitress was very attentive and conversant . Come to find out she used to be a waitress from Boca Raton, Florida location (where we live ) and usually dine on special occasions . Pleasant surprise ! I'm not... More

It may be just what your looking for, a place where you can have a perfect steak and still bring the kids. What it is: a great steakhouse that is 100% reliable for a great steak. Ideal for a business dinner, etc. What it's not: Romantic. Went there to celebrate our anniversary and had a great meal but found it... More

The place is exactly what it say on the thin. A good-looking restaurant with decent food. Price is according to the market they are selling. Good place if that is what are you looking for.

Called in for a quick dinner and was lucky to get a high table with no trouble. Really nice venue for an evening dinner, would have liked to have spent more of an evening there but had a flight to catch. Excellent steak, lobster mac 'n cheese, chicken and great service. Only downside was the vegetables with the chicken and... More

The Capital Grille Boston is a very nice restaurant. One thing I really did not like is they keep the restaurant dark so it is difficult to read the menu. Your eyes eventually do adjust. All 3 of us had the sirloin steak and it was very good. We had sides of creamed spinach and mashed potato. The service was... More

I will not mention the food, because it is really delicious. The dark side was the treatment from the staff. We reserved a table for 6 for us to discuss business and when we arrived there was just a round table in the corner of a sofa (every time someone in the center decided to go to the restroom, everyone... I tried a succulent tasty and enormous piece of sirloin called: bone-in Kona crusted dry aged sirloin with shallot butter. Cooking was perfect as asked. After it, we received a combination of different desserts. My favorites were the coconut cream pie and the flourless chocolate espresso cake. A delight!!!

Being honest, I had no better steak on my visits to the US within the last years. We were a group of 10 people having business dinner there. The service was good, attentive. The starter was a Cesars, that was ok, perhaps I should have had an alternative. The steak was a bone-in sirlon, aged, and cooked to perfection, marvellous.... More

Huge portions of meat were very bland. Both the steak & the tuna were mediocre at best. High prices weren't anywhere near justified. Waiter came to take away our wine glasses but didn't offer more. This was our 2nd trip to a Capital Grille (Dallas, Boston) in less than a month, and neither one lived up to the hype. If... More

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
