Went here with my adult son. He says why are we eating dinner at 4PM. He quickly understood when we arrived at 4:03 and we were seated at the last open table. Read the reviews. Yes it’s very small inside, yes you may have to...More

I travel quite a bit and have experienced quite a bit of Italian food. Up until now my favorite place was in downtown Chicago, but I’m beginning to rethink that. We ordered the calamari (small), special appetizer (sort of a burrata caprese), the special fusilli...More

I ate here for the first time last night for dinner. It's a small place and very popular, so be prepared to wait in line outside for a table for dinner. Fortunately, we only had about a 20 minute wait. The service was top notch...More

Giacomo's is a Boston institution. While the wait time is positively horrendous -- an hour at least -- the food more than makes up for it. The first time I went to this Giacomo's location was in the middle of January with my boyfriend and...More

The restaurant is not big enough to accommodate a lot of people. We had to wait in the line waiting for the restaurant to open. I guess our waiting has paid off. The food is nice, delicious and has the Italian flavor. Service was also...More

If you’re looking for a good Italian food joint that screams ‘the Italian way of life at you...’, this is a must-eat-at-place in Boston. Beware - there is a line outside even in the 25 F temps. (I don’t want to imagine what the line...More

The North End is our favorite place to eat when we are in Boston. If you plan on going to Giacomo's go early. There was a line out front when we left. The service is top notch. I had the chicken parm and it was...More

The North End is one of my favorite places to go out to eat in Boston. Giacomo’s has been a fixture on Hanover St. for 31 years. Server Donna has worked there for 16 years. & I have a feeling the other employees have longevity...More

We had great seafood meals. Service was fast. Seating is tight as the dining room is small. But it has that old world Italian ambience. Get there early or prepare to wait. Very popular. And bring cash. No credit accepted.

Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like
being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and
Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants,
bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part
in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or
Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma
sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s
home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church

Not a wine consumer but I agree that the wait is worth it. Hope you go and have the great experience we had.
