This restaurant was recommended so we thought that we would try. It does not take reservations or credit cards. Cash only. I was surprised about how inexpensive this restaurant was. Wine per glass is cheap and the servings are large. The menu is limited. A...More

Make sure you’re prepared to stand in line. We queued up prior to Saturday’s opening. Got there after the Bruins game around 4pm and we were seated right away. Great service. Waiter was very friendly. Chicken Marsala was terrific. Small establishment. Cash only. Got our...More

Original North End patron of Giacomo's. My favorite meal is a calamari start, veal piccata entree with a glass of Angelina Pinot Grigio. Just saying!

I ate there several times, BRING CASH, nothing more embarrassing than not having cash when the check comes, but come hungry too. The food is simple and perfect Italian. A real favorite.

Please remember it is cash only!!! Calamari was excellent and well priced wines by the glass. The veal parm was very good-not the best but well worth your time!

So with the no booking thing it’s always best to get there early doors to get a table. As for the food - it’s delicious. Never had a bad meal here and I make a point of going every time I’m in Boston. All the...More

North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like
being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and
Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants,
bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part
in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or
Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma
sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s
home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church
