Don’t be intimidated by the long lines. It moves fast. But be prepared to be aggressive once inside. There is no real order. Great pastries. Do not miss it while in Boston.

We were like rabbits caught in headlights when we entered this place and were unable to collect our thoughts for a few mins, but after being asked by counter staff on the third occasion managed to make our decision! We choose a selection of cakes...More

After hearing everyone rave about this place when they come back from Boston, I finally found myself in the city and with time to stop by. I ordered the ricotta cannoli and a Boston cream puff. The cannoli was disappointing - it wasn't BAD, but...More

We were lucky to get in and out rather quickly as in the past, there were big lines. I would recommend the lobster tail dessert. Enough for two as it is a long pastry shell filled with fresh whipped cream. Sprinkled with powdered sugar. Outstanding...More

Cannoli, pastries, cakes, coffees what more do you need to finish or start a night. Great time of year to drop in as there are not the hoardes when the weather is fine and warm. Great collection of pastries and cakes to choose from. The...More

If I could, I'd go here every night I was in Boston. We tried other bakeries, but they don't compare. Mike's has more options, the ambiance is awesome, there's a great vibe, and the desserts are way bigger for the same price. Go there and...More

Must visit place every time I visit Boston. Coconut lemon cake yesterday. Pecan caramel cannoli today. In the heart of North Boston with Frank Sinatra singing in the background. Boston at its finest.

I did a taste test between Mike's and Modern. I'm sorry to tell you that I LOVED Them Both! You cannot go wrong at Mike's. Huge variety and the counter assistants are fantastic. Get in there and get some delicious desserts.

Every time I go to Mike's the line is out the door. This time it took 20 minutes to get served, it is always packed but so worth the wait. They have so many different flavors and so many different dessert items, there is something...More

North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like
being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and
Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants,
bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part
in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or
Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma
sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s
home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church

Agreed with previous two responses. Line around the building and shoulder to shoulder lines on the inside. Parking - I can't even imagine. Good luck!
