We were in the mood for great Italian food that we didn't need to dress up for (pre-Bruins game). After a short walk, we happened upon Pellino's. 5 people ordered 4 different dishes ranging from Chicken Piccata to the lasagna special -- all delicious. The recommended wines were also very good. Dino the waiter was excellent (even mentioning the cola... More

Our family wanted to try a new restaurant on this trip to Boston. Food here was average and pricey for the portion sizes compared to a few of our usual favorites. Waiter and others were very friendly. They did offer a homemade eggplant spread with bread/butter that was very tasty. Our appetizers of calamari and meatballs (3 small for $15)... More

My wife and I visited this small quaint, romantic Italian restaurant during a recent visit to Boston. They have a surprisingly large wine list. The house made pasta was some of the best we've had and the sauces were truly outstanding. Service was great without being intrusive. It's one of our top restaurants. Thank you Pellino's!

Went here and used a Groupon for a three coarse meal. I was worried that it wouldn't be great but I was wrong. We really enjoyed the food. The bread was delicious out of the oven. We had the eggplant app and it was delicious. We like it especially because the eggplant was not covered in bread crumbs and deep... More

My husband and I had a very odd experience here. First, the server, who also appeared to be an owner or at least manager was attentive. She checked on us frequently. However, whenever we tried to order items, she often interrupted us. She also would start to walk away before we were done speaking. It was odd. We both ordered... More

Very good food and wine. We were walking by at dinner time and decided to stop in. We were pleasantly surprised. Food was great. Very tasty, and they know how to do a good sauce. Service was pleasant and prompt. Highly recommended.

We went there on a saturday night without a reservation. We were 8, so the owner was kind enough to find us a spot, which was great. The food was good, too expensive for pasta but good. The wine was very expensive for what you got, not worth it. Now the worst part was the service, i haven't had a... More

Small cozy Boston Italian restaurant located around the corner from Paul Revere's house. Owner chef, creates wonderful authentic Italian dishes from scratch. Food is best I've had in a long whi.le. Highly recommend the Bolongnese and their veal specials

Pellino's is located about 2 blocks from Paul Revere's house in Little Italy. It is a quaint little restaurant with maybe 10-12 tables. The special for the day was lasagna bolognese, which was just "OK?" Most dishes in any Little Italy is infused with garlic, but not too much. Our lasagna was tasty but lacked the Italian punch of garlic... More

Off the main street in the North End of Boston, Pellion's was a welcome oasis. The food was fresh and handmade. The wine list was extensive, but not overdone. The service was attentive. Just the kind of place you are hoping to find that is not a trap for tourists.

North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
