This restaurant which is described as a German beer hall is only a semblance of what it probably was at some time in the past. Its German foods are limited and it doesn’t offer any of the “small plates” that are listed on their menu...More

This is the place to go for simple, well cooked and hearty food. We all had schnitzels, all were excellent and we loved the spatlze which came with it. Great choice of beers. Good friendly and efficient service. Its was lively and informal. Saturday meant...More

Warm, open, inviting ‘food hall’- where it’s often quite loud. However, that ads to the vibrant atmosphere of the place. This might not be the place for a quiet dinner or to propose to your wife....but for a business meeting, friends, or a family dinner....it’s...More

We stumbled upon this place by chance whilst strolling around the theatre district. It’s a great place, with tremendous history and atmosphere. But although the cuisine Is German, there are lots of other things on the huge menu. The beer is great and the choice,...More

I’m not sure what the atmosphere is like here during the rest of the year, but for Christmas, this place is the best!! The interior reminded me of the authentic German beer gardens that I saw in Munich for Oktoberfest. And while we were there,...More

We ate here on a Friday evening which turned out to be the night that the singsong happened. Song books were passed around and after everybody had drunk sufficiently singing commenced. May not be everybodies cup of tea tea but we enjoyed it enormously. Plenty...More

Just what I needed after eating a lot of junk food for the last fee days! I had the Butternut Squash and Goat Cheese Tower: Fresh, delicious, filling. Prompt service. Liked the interior too.

Can't beat $.25 hot dogs. Easy to eat 3 to 6 hot dogs each and the beer selection is impressive. We go there regularly on Tuesday's for lunch, atmosphere can't be beat, Jacob Wirth's is one of the oldest restaurants in Boston and worth a...More

Having lived in Germany for 13 years, we know we enjoy authentic German meals. We approached this visit with guarded expectations. We'd heard from others that the food is good but not quite like Germany. We had several appetizers and I was especially pleased with...More

Yes, we did drink wine but I do not remember what kind, it was some month ago. But I remember it was OK - much better than the food!

Thank you for your question. The only dish we can make without seasoning is our burgers. All other dishes are mostly pre marinated. Please make sure to ask your server about your request when you arrive!
