From the moment we sat down at the bar we felt at home. John was our bartender and happened to pour the best d*mn Guinness that I've ever had. Great bourbon and whiskey selection. It was lunch time and I know that they were busy but John took the time with my brother and our friend, making us laugh and... More

Stopped in there for Breakfast last weekend. It was very good. Quick service. They serve delicious Mimosa's as well. I got an Omelette. They had Irish rashers and bangers. Both were great. My buddy had Steak and Eggs and loved it. French Toast was also good.

I first went here a few years ago for Sunday brunch which is cheap and bountiful. Now I go there during the week as well. I live very close by. The service is always fabulous, the coffee free-flowing and the food very good. The portions are big (I usually have to take a doggy bag) and there are plenty of... More

Wouldn't make the effort to come back again. Seemed more like a place for business travelers looking for a bite to eat. Music didn't start when listed also so that was a bummer. Disappointed especially after the other reviews.

We stumbled upon Dooley's on a recent trip to the city when we stayed in a nearby hotel. We had a late lunch and could have easily lingered all afternoon thanks to the warm and cozy atmosphere. The food was delicious and our favorite Irish beers were on tap. It was crowded, but the staff did a nice job accommodating... More

Popped in during the evening for a quick bite to eat with family. Great atmosphere and good service. Very friendly. Took our order which came quickly and there was loads to eat. Good value for money. Would definitely visit again.

Ate for dinner after a long day of travel. A very Irish Pub. Food was pub food. Waitress seemed like she needed help and was overwhelmed on a Tuesday evening. But food was good. I had Shepard Pie. Not the best I've ever had but good. I would absolutely go back.

I recently enjoyed breakfast at Mr. Dooley's. My hotel was just down the street from the pub and I prefer trying the local flavor to eating in hotel restaurants. I was not disappointed at Mr. Dooley's. I ordered the American breakfast which included two eggs, a generous serving a bacon, toast and potatoes. The waitress was attentive and prompt in... More

It was a Sunday night after football and being strangers to Boston we were looking for a authentic Boston Pub for dinner and a few drinks to drown our sorrows after our team lost. We came across Mr. Dooley's by chance and were pleasantly surprised by this great example of an American Irish Pub. It's atmosphere and decor was perfect... More

While in Boston recently I found our accommodation (In Milk Street) 100 yards from an Irish bar restaurant Called Dooleys. When we arrived initially, (4 of us) we found that out Air BnB apartment was not yet ready for us, so we retired to Dooleys. Now be conscious that we had 8 pieces of luggage between us for a 10... Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
