We went to Sunday Brunch, We sat there awhile before Our Waiter finally came the Asst Waiters brought Us Water and Rolls. We have eaten at the Parker House Hotel's restaurant on at least six occasions. It has been uniformly excellent. The wait staff is attentive, helpful and dignified. Most recently I ordered the "Duck Two Ways." It was tasty and prepared perfectly. The wine list is comprehensive without overwhelming. Cocktails were excellent. The Blackberry Whisky Sour was a new favorite for... More

It was my wife's birthday and we were staying at the hotel so dinner at such an historic restaurant was in order, we like many restaurants in Boston but had not been to the Parker's. Oddly enough we saw on the Food Channel that the Parker House is famous for three things, the birthplace of Parker House Rolls and the... More

We had the breakfast buffet in Parker's restaurant and a light supper in Parker's Bar on our recent stay. Both places are charming with lots of high ceilings and dark wood paneling. The service was top notch, friendly and attentive. You must try the house specialties so we made sure to get some Parker House rolls and of course, the... More

We were staying at a hotel nearby and I had to have breakfast here to try the Boston Cream Pie. See, anytime I have the chance to visit the place where a tradition or a classic was born, I always take it! And who doesn't like cake? The restaurant is pretty impressive, old dated for sure, but that is also... More

Due to a scheduling glitch, my wife, Cynthia, and I showed up at the Parker House on a Friday night. Since we had already left our car with the valet and it was dinner time, we decided to dine at Parker's Restaurant. The result was a magnificent meal in this elegant and very well managed establishment. Cynthia started with a... More

The Parker's Bar in the Omni Parker House, a very old timey feel and the food was decent. But prices were high (and higher than advertised in the entrance of the bar).

We enjoyed the breakfast buffet here after an overnight stay. We were lucky to receive free vouchers for the buffet as I noticed that it is normally $26 per person. It is a very full buffet though with scrambled eggs, potatoes ,many breakfast meats, french toast, fruits, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal and assorted pastries. We loved the mini ketchup and syrup... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
