I tried getting in here a few months ago, but the line was several deep onto the sidewalk (1.5 hours) and I said 'what could be so special about a pizza place', as I moved on down the road. Well, now I know. We went the other day at 4:00 and then the place was pretty full. By the time... More

This place sells good pizza, beer, and ice cream. There are two sizes offered; I'd say their "small" size is good for two people. Large size could feed at least 3. The pizzas are cooked in the traditional method where the crust is very crispy with some signs of charring. Don't worry, though because it caramelizes the toppings and every... More

I went to Picco's on recommendation of a friend to have lunch with said friend. While i wouldn't consider the restaurant to serve typical italian dishes (you know, like the food from Italy), it serves mediterraneanly inspired cuisine (pizzas, hummus) as well as some American classics like Mac and Cheese and US-Mex food. Tap water was served quickly and when... More

Coffee icecream should be named Espresso grit.....Yummy! I don't want a required minimum of 100 characters. That's silly.

A friend recommended Picco, and it was great. The pizza was delicious and the service was excellent. They also have a great drink selection. It's a good spot for all occasions.

Very nice beer and wine selection and the food is very good. The cauliflower appetizer is good, as is the caesar salad. The pizzas are very good but they are COMICALLY overpriced. We ordered a large pizza with just mushrooms, olives, and onions, and it was priced as the margherita ($20) plus the toppings which made it a $27 pizza.... More

In a charming place in Boston, near several cool business houses, this restaurant has its forte in the well-cooked pizzas and in the aroma that takes care of every well laid-out atmosphere! Brewery for that quick snack, or good American lunch! They warn you that the pizza comes burned on the edges so it's not worth complaining afterwards! I felt... More

Is there a better combination?! The restaurant was very busy, so we are at the bar. The veggie pizza with Brussels sprouts was out of this world!!!! I can not say enough good things about it. There is a great selection of beer here as well as other drinks. I highly suggest saving room for some homemade ice cream to... More

This place does not take reservations and as we did not have US phone numbers they could not call to say when table would be ready. It meant a walk round the block in really blustery wet weather. We then went back and crammed into a corner in the hope our table would come up soon. Thankfully the wait wasn't... More

Staying in South End

Neighbourhood Profile
South End
Stroll down the beautiful brownstone lined streets while capturing views of Boston’s tallest buildings from a distance. Some of Boston’s best restaurants are scattered around this neighborhood. There are many gems to be found, from jazz clubs to classy bars and restaurants. It is also home to art galleries, interesting boutiques, artsy stores and SOWA open market during the summer months. The South End is a true find in the city, with a more residential feeling than Back Bay.
