I really enjoyed the atmosphere and staff of this establishment. We dined here for brunch and there is a great selection and delicious cocktails. The home fries are amazing which is one of the things I must indulge when I visit Boston! I will definitely have a meal here again! Thumbs up from Arkansas!

Great place in the middle of the restaurant/bar area of Boylston/Commonwealth. I have gotten the duck and bone marrow here twice. Fabulous both times and they totally complement each other. The duck is their Thurs night special, I don't think its on their regular menu. This place is know for their bar and mixologists, and their drinks ARE really good...but... More

Arrived on a Thursday with no reservations. The place was packed and we waited about 30 minutes for a table. We sat outside under the heat lamps. The server appeared to be overwhelmed and in a hurry. I had the baked ziti and found it to lack any flavor and was very watery. Picked this restaurant because it was next... More

Nice place to have breakfast (and more, but no time to do that). Good service, good food. And next to Kenmore station. Ideal!

A big warm room on a cold night, Eastern Standard is welcoming and cozy despite the size of the room. Bistro classics such as steak frites, cassoulet and burgers are well prepared and delicious. Don't miss the wine-by-the-glass specials such as Chateau Musar from Lebanon and Lopez de Heredia Cubillo Rioja from Spain; I've never ever seen these wines offered... More

Very nice looking restaurant, good service, underwhelming brunch. The coffee tasted worse than Folgers (maybe it was!). The menu options were a bit uninspiring and limited. Perhaps would ordered the wrong dishes or went on an off-day. Might give it another try, I suppose, but barely 3 star Sunday brunch.

Waited over an hour to eat here on a late Thursday night based on great reviews. Place was hopping and atmosphere a big plus. Finally sat down to eat after being told 45 minutes and waiting 1hour and 15 minutes. Maybe I was expecting too much as I was overly hungry but food was just ok. Service by wait staff... More

Had a hot breakfast with scrambled eggs the way I like them. It also came with sausage and hash browns and toast and lots of coffee re-fills. Service was attentive. A lot of ambiance with dark wood and leather chairs.

I have been here multiple times and have had an amazing experience every time! the staff are nice and very polite along with knowledgeable about the food and drink menu. If you like bourbon I highly recommend their Old Fashion. and the roasted bone marrow was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!

Eastern Standard is delicious. The cocktails are great. The food is great. I recommend for food some raw oysters, and for whatever you get for your main course (it'll all be good), be sure to get mac and cheese as a side since it's amazing. Their mac and cheese comes out still sizzling in those little, black pans.

Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighbourhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
