Simply excellent dinner. Staff was incredible - especially the wine advisor. Delicious food, great wine, excellent service, and a great atmosphere. I will return here again.

I dined here for a friend's b'day and thoroughly enjoyed it. A little more light to read the menu would have been appreciated. I enjoyed my caesar salad which was a wedge with the requisite dressing and cheese and an airy crisped toast piece. Bread...was delightfully chewy. Several loaves were [laced for the table of 9. Others seemed to enjoyed their salad and pasta first course. I had salmon which was truly one of the best I'd ever had and a decent size. It was served with a few vegetables in an interesting chestnut puree. There were potatoes and carrots and broccoli and a blueberry-looking like piece which I could not identify. I'd wished I'd ordered a side as the vegetable melange was quite small. Prosecco was superb. Since a birthday cake was brought in, we did not sample desserts. Service was not intrusive and unhurried. I'd return!More

Elegant dining room with first class service. We started with squash soup and a salad and both were excellent, I had veal medallions and my wife the salmon.... both were beautifully prepared. This is a Boston winner and we shall be back.

The wine list features an extensive list of wines by the glass. I asked our friendly, literate server, Mark, what he liked between the Barolo and the Brunello. He said he would pour a bit of each for me to taste. I chose the Brunello....My wife chose a fine Sancerre. For appetizers, my wife's fresh oysters were, served on a bed of ice, reinforced by bits of Meyer (sweet, not sour) lemon zest. She pronounced the oysters "sumptuous." My "Branzino," consisted of about eight little round objects, that consisted of Persian cucumbers, finger limes, Calabrian chilies, sea beans and lemon. It proved to be $27 worth of ten skimpy little bites. The arugala salad with pine nuts and Parmagian held for this vegan eater, was crisp and refreshing. My wife's medium-rare, tender, tasty salmon served with a light, sweet sauce proved to be a succulent delight. My fettucini with mushrooms sans black truffle butter and Parmigiano were perfectly al dente and yummy. Our friend, who had skipped previous courses, enjoyed a full-flavored game hen made tender by a leg confit. We all felt sated by dessert time. The dessert menu incluced tiramisu and warm molten chocolate cake (were they you kidding?), but I ordered a trio the chef's selection of sorbetti, namely mango, lime and grape. We hung around to converse with our fun, literate server, Mark. I asked him about Sorrelina's downsides: the noise that made one have to shout to be heard across the table, the low light that required me to use a flashlight to read the menu. He replied that every time he emerged from the brightly lit kitchen into the dark dining room, it took a moment for him to get dark-adapted. As for the noise, Mark said he had been in noisier restaurants; so have I, but I find in uncomfortable to dine in a noisy place.More

Sorellina sent a car Service to pick us up at the Ritz on a windy, rainy night. We were transported w/o incident and our evening of bliss began... We had a 3pm Dim Sum lunch so we were not super hungry. We ordered a red...wine from the Bolgheri region of Tuscany. Luscious, succulent + juicy. We enjoyed it with our Caesar + Bolognese + veal. All three dishes prepared flawlessly. Each seemingly better than the next. Very detailed preparation. Romaine very chilled served in a chilled bowl. Pasta steaming hot in a warm bowl w/not too much cheese. Veal robust in flavor + ample portion. We concluded with a Tiramisu + Cherry Tart, prepared by its in-house Pastry Chef. Server Michael very Professional + real. GM Michela Loda personable + highly skilled. *Highly recommended...More

The food, wine, and cocktails are excellent, the setting amazing, and the service impeccable. With a price to match. Elegant, well executed, and delicious, but very expensive.

What a disappointment. I ordered the veal saltimbocca for $ 51. There was essentially NO SAUCE. Couple tablespoons under the veal set on mashed potatoes. Could hardly find it and not much taste at all. So I got veal and mashed potatoes.

We just went here for desserts at the end of the night and it was as good as promised. Fresh, light desserts, great decor, if a little too dark - we had so many table turn on the phone light to read the menu around...us, it was quite clear. Service was also good. Had a great time and would return.More

Overall I was very disappointed. The service was uniformly lackluster from reception to table. The food was overpriced given the size of the portions. My caesar salad was good but the pasta dish I had was underwhelming. We arrived at 5:30 when the restaurant opened....We waited and waited, first to to order and then to get our food, leaving us no time for dessert before heading to the Pops concert at 8. A very disappointing experience.More

The service and ambience of Sorellina is extraordinary. The food to me was a little over-hyped. It was good, not great. In my opinion, the lobster gnocchi was by far the best dish on the menu.

We had a fabulous foodie week in Boston and Maine. We saved Sorellina for the night before we left and it was the perfect finish. They had an amazing and diverse cocktail menu with no disappointments. Crudites: the tuna was outstanding, the truffle parmesan fries...were excellent. Both the arugula and caesar salads were perfectly dressed. The meatballs were tender, the mushroom pasta had a wonderful flavor but the lobster gnocchi was the standout dish and we fought over them. The Milanese veal was incredible. The game hen and the veal chop were both outstanding. We tried 4 different desserts and all were good. Service was impeccable.More

Three of us had a wonderful dinner here, after a packed day of sightseeing in Boston. The restaurant is beautifully decorated/-sophisticate and elegant. Extensive wine list. We had: arugula salad (huge and delicious), the meatball pasta, the scallops, and the lamb pasta. All were exquisite!...Attentive service, a little slow at the end of the meal.More

My husband and I were in Boston for a marathon weekend. we love Boston for its amazing food, especially its Italian cuisine. I’ve been to a good number of the top, authentic Italian restaurants in Boston. Although wonderful, none of them come close to the...exquisite food and service offered at Sorellina. Although, very talented, the chef doesn’t go overboard in trying to impress you with with his creative genius. Instead, he highlights the incredible quality of the ingredients. Everything is cooked to perfection. Every bite is delicious. The service is impeccable, and the atmosphere is sophisticated and comfortable. Is the perfect place to enjoy a special occasion.More
