We sat at the bar on a Monday around 9:30pm- didn't have to wait- had a really great bottle of red wine that was recommended by the bartender... and then came the most delicious food!!! So many dishes to recommend- definitely have the bone marrow, boquerones, The tuna belly, shishito peppers, octopus...honestly nothing wasn't awesome !!!

We visited on a busy week night. The service was prompt and friendly despite the crowd. Please continue the good service! We ordered several items and each was delicious - we LOVED the roasted corn and wine selection.

Everything was well made and not pretentious. The service was outstanding. The waitress was efficient and unobtrusive. Highly recommend, though I hear dinner is hard to get a seat. Lunch was abolutely no problem.

I come here every time I visit! Everything I've tried is amazing, the service is always outstanding. I only wish they took reservations. I've only gone for lunch because it's so busy at dinner.

Toro is a lively Tapas bar and restaurant in Boston's South End. You certainly have to wait for a seat but it's more than working worth it! The Spanish food is excellent and dishes have a slight fusion touch. Definitely try the gambas, which cone in an amazing tomato aoli sauce. Enjoy!

I was here for dinner with a friend, we had to wait a bit before sitting but it was fine. - Food: good, really good... unluckily the portions are a bit small (as often happens in tapas places), but everything was good - Cocktails: great... the food was very good, but for me best part of the experience were the... I never posted a review when I first discovered Toro a few years ago and for this I am sorry. We finally made it back last night and I'm thankful you still have the Uni Bocadillio! For all you sea urchin lovers, you must have this Sammie, followed by the chorizo, tuna tartare, octopus and the heavenly paella. The crispy... More

We were at a business meal. The place is nicely designed and have great amiance. The cocktails were fine but nothing to write home. We took a variety of tapas. Pumpkin with mushroom (special) was excellant , roasted cauliflower with mint to die for, papa's brava, fillet, chicken empanadas and mini sliders. Everything was well and balanced spiced. The service... More

There is a big hype about this restaurant. So we had high expectations and were very disappointed. They use too many spices and are not very creative in the food compositions. The service personal is very friendly and forthcoming, that is the only highlight in this restaurant. We will not come again and cannot recommend this restaurant.

Neighbourhood Profile
South End
Stroll down the beautiful brownstone lined streets while capturing views of Boston’s tallest buildings from a distance. Some of Boston’s best restaurants are scattered around this neighborhood. There are many gems to be found, from jazz clubs to classy bars and restaurants. It is also home to art galleries, interesting boutiques, artsy stores and SOWA open market during the summer months. The South End is a true find in the city, with a more residential feeling than Back Bay.
