Had lunch on the patio, hidden treasure among the historical sites of downtown Boston. Service was first rate, attentive without hovering, and the food was good as expected. It didn't feel like a chain restaurant.

Went to Ruth's Chris Steak House and the food and service were amazing. We had a large group for business, and I had raving reviews of this restaurant, atmosphere and service. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a delicious steak or a place to bring a client! ALSO---bonus is that the restaurant is located inside the old town hall building!

Steak is my favorite food. I'm hard to impress... and for some reason, I usually stray from steakhouse "chains." However, my boyfriend decided that this is where he wanted to go. First of all, the ambiance of the Old City Hall is really stunning at dusk (although if you're going to be outside in summertime, perhaps consider bugspray!). Service was... More

No king, no president, no royal has had a better dinner tonight than my husband and I mean tonight! Our gratitude goes to the host Marin and our water David for talking us into eating here on our anniversary dinner!

My husband had dinner at Ruth's Chris Steak House in Washington, DC in April and he loved it. So he took us (family) for Mother's Day dinner at RCSH here in Boston because he wants us to experience it since he loved it in DC. He was right, the food was superb. I had Lamb Chop and the rest of... More

We visited Ruth Chris Steak house while in Boston with our son. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere was very nice. I did not have steak but my husband and son did and they enjoyed it. I had seafood and it was good but not great.

We had a great meal here Sunday. The steak was cooked perfect. The staff was very attentive, keeping our water glasses filled without asking. Our entire experience was great.

Recommended by a local resident, the Restaurant is in the Old City Hall. Welcomed, we were taken down into a dark cellar-like room, and strangely placed right next two other diners, although there were plenty of other tables free. No chance of a romantic meal then! Rather felt we were being pushed to order larger portions than we actually wanted.... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
