I visited this restaurant as a part of a work trip, I believe we were close to 15 guests total. The service and the food were both excellent, our server in particular was very knowledgeable and extremely enthusiastic in talking about the dishes available. I myself took the NY strip steak cooked to medium-rare, the temperature when it arrived was... More

Room was darkish and more romantic than the usual RC. Our food was delicious and service was adequate but lacking charm. It was quiet which was the first time in a RC where we have found this. Nice view of fairy lights in one window and graves in the other! We would return.

Had a meal here recently. Steaks were absolutely delicious. Good ambience and setting, but it did feel really dark. We had a table downstairs by the external wall and when the air con clicked it, it was really cold! Portions were a good size and the sides were tasty too. It does seem expensive.

A steakhouse with a view of the cemetery! Sounds macabre, doesn't it?!!! When I asked the hostess if I could dine in their fine establishment without reservations, she fled because she saw gentlemen in vampire suits (Twilight types) by the door and wanted to seat them first. The waiter made Lurch seem warm and cuddly. The only person who saved... More

Great location in Old City Hall in Boston. Food and wine was fantastic as usual. Only negative were tables and chairs are too close together.

Ruth Chris restaurants are generally all quite high quality. There are a couple exceptions but this is not one of them, it's great. And the building is also cool. The cowboy ribeye is the best. Love every bite.

The Lamb Chops were very generous and served with a mint jelly that when warmed became the perfect compliment to the Lamb. My husband opted for a steak with a wedge salad.

We've been to this restaurant several times in the past few years as our son was going to college in Boston. The ambiance is great as the building is the former Boston City Hall. The food is good, but like any Ruth Chris, expensive. What I didn't like on this trip was our waiter took his time waiting on us... More

The food was great, the service friendly and knowledgeable But the running MOUSE around the tables not so amusing. For a 300$ meal (for 3) you would expect a better management of the rodent problem. And if a rodent is allowed to be in the dining area what do you think is happening in the kitchen (it might be hired... More

We stayed for a few days at the Omni Parker Hotel. We made dinner reservations prior to our trip. The restaurant is literally right across the street from the hotel. We both had steaks which were cooked as ordered and everything was delicious. I LOVED the Dirty Goose Martinis. I know this is a chain restaurant and it's pricey but... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
