Easily out favorite food in the Bost area! It's a tiny place and not with the best decor but the food is awesome - fresh. Flavorful and will bring you slurping back for more. I have needed to eat here once a week after I first ate here! A whole vegetarian menu with vegan options as well!

Family Trio, revisited on a Friday night, after couple of dinners in 2014, rather disappointed at the apparent cool reception, after some wait could order some favorite Burmese dishes which were so good in 2014, more diners walked in, more orders to deal with, Tea Salad served on the table, after a while Mango Salad, after a while Mandalay Plata... I just got back from Myanmar and had a real craving for some tea leaf salad..YoMa is the only place that serves it so off I went to Allston.. I have had other dishes on the menu (mango salad. Curry egg etc) but never the tea leaf salad which (I know now) is signature to Myammar.. It just wasn't good..... More

Went here for dinner last month as a family as we loved Burmese food when we tried it in California. This is the only Burmese restaurant we could find in/near Boston. We might as well not have bothered. Correction - I might as well not have bothered. I picked it as a surprise and heard no end of it, due... More

Nondescript little spot with good food. I had the pumpkin chicken - excellent. My wife enjoyed the soup and we had the bread with beans as an appetizer recommended by the staff. It was a delicious dip with whole chickpeas and a crunchy topping. The chai came out lukewarm but overall this was a cute spot with tasty food! It's... More

A friend who lives in the neighborhood took me here several years ago and I make it a point to dine here 3 or 4 times a year - mainly because some unusual dish or other comes to mind and, well, gotta have it! This past visit we shared a coconut chicken noodle soup, a tea salad (don't miss it!),... More

I've been here a few times and the last meal I had here was the best yet. I love how different the flavors are from other types of Asian food I've had. Had a spicy dish with small samosa like dumplings in a broth with chickpeas and tomatoes. The samosas were perfectly crispy (as was the bread side order.) A... More

Yoma is a tiny place where one could savor the unique and fresh tastes of Myanmar. I've dined there a half dozen times over the past few years and enjoyed my meals. During that time they have gradually improved the interior and modified their menu. While the classics, tea salad and Burmese tofu(chickpea based rather than soya) are still there,... More

First time at Burmese-Myanmar restaurant, compact unassuming neat & clean neighborhood restaurant, family of three, smiling young face to welcome and seat, quick guide & service by smiling faces, authentic amazing flavors & unique tastes of wide spread separate non-veg and veg menu, will certainly visit again to reinforce the memory of the flavors & tastes. Highly recommended for lunch... More
