The food here is dreamy. While I wish they had more combo platters for solo diners, being forced to only pick one item isn't super challenging given the decent menu. Service is friendly and fast but not over the top. Don't expect to be asked how you are doing at any point during your meal. I'm not sure if it's... More

We visited Kashmir for a change from the American food we had over done during the trip, and didn't expect Indian food like you get back in the UK and it wasn't. The chicken Biriyani I had was very bland and not much flavour, although it was cooked well and plentiful but was bored of it after a few mouthfuls.... More

Being a lover of Indian for too many years and having had a good meal here a couple of years ago I decided to go back again with a colleague for another dining experience. Ordered a selection from the menu, maybe 5 or 6 dishes. Sorry to report that we did not enjoy any of them. The food was bland,... More

It's on the busy Newbury Street. It was a lazy Saturday and I was hunting for new place and this came up. We had goat biriyani. The food was oily. Usually the biriyani is bit oily. But this had too much oil in it so the taste was not so good. The portions are reasonable and was in a reasonable... More

I love Indian food and people. Unfortunately, they are not to be found there. The food is vaguely curry-ish. The staff is not rude or anything, but not the super-nice people I've come to expect.

My wife and I stopped in for Sunday brunch on our last day in Boston; we previously lived there. We've been to Kashmir a handful of times, but this was the first in about 10 years. The food is always good, and I love the atmosphere. Brought back great memories.

I don't like Indian food but Kashmir change my look on it . The food is always mouth watering and a great cultural experience . Down sides ? It's not a cheep place to eat but I think it's worth every penny . I love Kashmir and I recommend it to my friends !

My girlfriend and I came in here on a Friday night for date night and enjoyed ourselves. The server was very friendly, the food came out quick and was delicious! I had the chicken vindaloo and my girlfriend had the chicken tikka masala.

Indian food is our primary diet. When we're not preparing it at home, we're 'regulars' at 3 local Indian restaurants. We've also been to various parts of India 7 or 8 times. While the food at Kashmir was well-prepared and tasty, the spicing was woefully watered down. Perhaps it was our fault -- we typically ask the waiter to prepare... More

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
