We were here for dinner on New Year's Eve. Even though we had a reservation and arrived on time, we still had a 25 minute wait. With our frustration building, we decided to remain quiet and wait it out. When we were finally seated, it was well worth the wait and deserving of the our rating. Our server/waiter was prompt to take our order, bring us a basket of delicious bread, and offer suggestions off the menu. We shared a house salad, which was plenty large enough for 2. We had the Chilean Sea Bass with lobster special and the grouper for entrees. Both dishes were excellent and top quality. The fish was prepared perfectly and presented in a lovely and appealing way, making it very appetizing. We shared a 10 layer carrot cake for dessert and that was exquisite as well. The service was prompt, our waiter was at our side quite often, and we were made to feel very welcome. The atmosphere is great for a nice dinner . The entrees are priced a bit higher than similar restaurants in the area, however the quality is worth it for a special occasion.

Ocean Prime is one of my favorite restaurants. It is pricey but worth every penny, and as a special treat, we come here once a year. The atmosphere is classy and romantic, and the service is unbeatable. My favorite part about Ocean Prime has to be the delicious warm pretzel bread they give the table! Their scallops and their filet mignon are delicious, and their warm butter cake with ice cream is heavenly. I highly recommend Ocean Prime for a special anniversary date, any special occasion, or a business meeting. They also have a great bar area if you don’t want a full formal meal.

We took my dad here while he was visiting from out of town, and we all had a lovely meal. We decided to sit outside, as the inside was rather noisy, and were all happy with this decision. They have plenty of space heaters, as well as individual cool table lamps so we could read our menus. We shared the goat cheese ravioli, the vegetable roll, the snapper, the sea bass, and the creme brulee, and everything was super delicious! We especially really liked the goat cheese ravioli, and my husband doesn't normally like goat cheese. Our waitress was attentive and friendly, and checked in on us regularly (but not obnoxiously so). Valet parking was $27, a fairly reasonable price given this restaurant's location so close to the seaport. This restaurant is in a vibrant part of the city, with many people coming and going.

Dined here for our first time on Sunday night! Parker, our server was extremely knowledgeable and kind, and super efficient and helpful. The food was delicious, we ordered the lobster bisque (amazing!), calamari, and shrimp cocktail for appetizer. To be honest the shrimp was just not fresh tasting and one of them ended up tasting fishy. I ordered the filet, and my husband ordered the ribeye. Both cooked to perfection and paired with generous portions of Jalapeño aug gratin, asparagus with hollandaise, and balsamic roasted Brussels sprouts, all delicious! We had the unfortunate event of finding gum on our tablecloth, but our server and the MOD made sure to take care of us in a very generous way and make it right. All in all we had an excellent experience and would definitely go back. It may be a little overpriced but some would say you’re paying for the exquisite service.

Four of us went to ocean prime for a birthday celebration. Yvonne was our server, and gave us top notch service. The food was excellent, everything we ordered was to die for! We started with drinks and apps, ordering a side of mushrooms (which we ended up ordering a second order,) the shrimp sautéed was out of this world, and of course truffle fries because we’re foodies. For entrees both men had filets which were cooked to perfection, my girlfriend ordered the ribeye also cooked to perfection, and I had the cod which I still can’t get my mind off of. Delicious! For sides we had mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, our second helping of mushrooms, and Brussels sprouts. As you can tell, we love to eat and we all approve Ocean Prime. The best of the best!

When we checked into our hotel it was actually time to eat dinner. We did not know the area and decided to see where we could eat within walking distance. By the time we settled in and returned the rental car not as many places were still taking customers. Ocean Prime was open with both indoor and outdoor seats and no apparent line waiting after 8 pm. We were able to be seated within 10 min and the service was very friendly. Our hostess gave us recommendations when we asked, and the drinks from the bar were great. I had seafood and he had a steak. Both were outstanding with large enough portions to make the expense seem fair. I love a dish that is more complicated than I can prepare at home, and that is exactly what Ocean Prime has. Delicious food, great service and not a long wait make Ocean Prime the perfect place for a late dinner.

During my stay in Boston I came to this restaurant of Seaport motivated by the positive comments I read on TA. Sorry to tell you this but I was quite disappointed : location is very ordinary (zero view), interior decoration is standard, food is good but neither great nor fine cuisine, service is slow, servers are not very friendly and the food is SO expensive. You won't find any seafood below $40 (before tax and tips). Sincerely, I think this place is overrated and I'm quite sure you can find better restaurants at more reasonable prices.

Yes it’s a chain but the group and location of the Ocean Prime in the Seaport District of Boston create dining magic. A dinner for my wife’s birthday with our two sons was started with great attention by Stanley and our service team. The drinks were great - bubbles & berries is as much fun to watch as it is to drink. Appetizers recommended were outstanding - ravioli and scallops with short ribs over cremolata. Can’t go wrong on the menu and the bone-in ribeye and filets hit the spot for the back g appetites while the NY strip and Atlantic cod over lobster were perfect. Plenty of sides to share including a massive double baked potato that could feed six people, jumbo tater tots with gouda cheese sauce and a cauliflower/broccoli mixed vegetable side just to make us feel healthy. Dessert was wonderful with a light change chocolate cake and sorbet shared. Will no doubt go back as the food delivered on quality and the service made the night special. Parking is abundant around the restaurant and valet noted on website was not available on a weekday night.

Really 4 1/2 but TA doesn't allow halves. Visited on a saturday night with my wife in advance of Bruins Home opener to celebrate our anniversary. So got to restaurant at 4pm just as it was opening. Got 2 seats at bar (as is our want). Within 35 minutes bar was full. By 5;45pm as we were leaving restaurant was full and there were people waiting for tables and bar seats. Caveat, this is upscale high priced restaurant so buyer beware. Service at bar was excellent. they have 3 bartenders for the 30 or so bar seats and the service bar for the restaurant. never waited for anything but they were also not intrusive even though they shared duties waiting on us. Had a few glasses of red wine for $24/9oz pour. Extensive wine list, only complaint is they didn't really have any moderately priced bottles. Cheapest full bodied red we saw was around $85. FYI we did not receive nor offered bread at the bar. Everyone who sat at the bar got popcorn. We did notice the tables around the bar had bread. We didn't want any nor can I imagine we would have been denied it if we asked, just an FYI, 1/2 dozen Duxbury oysters $29. Very clean, very fresh shucked off the shell perfectly. We both got the 8oz fillet $56. i ordered Rare+ with Truffle Butter, wife ordered medium rare with Bleu cheese crust. My filet cooked exactly as i wanted. My wife's could have been done a touch more but nothing worth sending back for a couple more minutes on the grille. Ordered sides (a la carte) of Brussels sprouts $18 and a Twice Baked potato $16. One side for the 2 of us would have been more than enough but i really wanted to try the Twice Baked potato. Sprouts were good, twice baked was spectacular and huge. Yes as others have written the bar area, and the tables in bar area, can get noisy with conversation. But that to me is customary when sitting in a bar area. Dining room which is separated by a pretty thick wall seemed much quieter if that is your preference. Didn't experience any music as we left early to catch the game. Definitely not a once a week destinations unless you are rich and famous but a really good choice for a special occasion. would not hesitate to return in the future.

The Ocean Prime Restaurant gets a five star rating from me and my Arrow as a review of our lunch yesterday after the Boston Flower and Garden Show”. Was it the cocktails of a chilled Savion Blanc from New Zealand and the mystical “Berries and Bubbles” concoction made of Belvedere Citrus Vodka, marinated blue berries, a house made sour, Domaine Chandon Brut, and dry ice for that Monster Mash effect? Yes. Was it the generous huge grilled sea scallops on a lovely hot rossotto garnished with fresh parsley? Yes. Or was it the broiled to perfection wild caught Alaskan salmon on a bed of white rice? Yes. Yes. Yes. The bar personnel were very attentive and simply delightful. Thank you! There you have it. So much fun! Enjoy life, get there. Ernie from Albany Jean from Keene.

Food was delicious but portions and service was impeccable of apps were small and overall VERY pricey. Great place to celebrate a special occasion but over most people's budget for a regular meal out. The surf and turf app consisted of a tiny piece of short rib, 2 scallops and a small portion of mashed potato for $27. Salads were ok for sharing.

We decided to have a drink at the bar before dinner which turned out to be a good decision. My cherry wood smoked old fashioned was well presented by a knowledgeable bartender and delicious as was the truffle oil popcorn on the bar. Friendly and professional service throughout the place. Tina waited on us for dinner and wished my wife a happy birthday as we were seated, then brought her a small bowl of popcorn when I told her we loved it. Oysters, onion soup, clam chowder and complementary breads were all super. My Bleu cheese crusted filet was good as was her halibut special on risotto. Tina gave us a half order of tater tots when we said we weren't sure we could eat that much. A complementary dessert of butter cake with vanilla ice cream with berries and a raspberry sauce was great. A good bottle of wine completed the meal. It is an expensive meal but worth it for the service, presentation, food and ambiance. Thank you Tina for making it a great birthday dinner.

We were five friends here for a meal before attend the jazz urbane cafe at the ICA. We decided to share a tapas style dinner with the apps and salads. I particularly like to try new things and have a variety of foods when I dine. We had almost all the apps and they all were splendid. Calamari was done the sweet and spicy way, not even a tiny bit chewy. The short ribs with the scallops, sublime. The deviled eggs…yes, I said deviled eggs … left you wanting another! Steak tartare…just right on the herb and spice. Crab cakes, pleat of crab, very light on the filler and so fresh and tasty. And the beet salad, cooked just right with sooo much flavor. Oh and the cocktails, cucumber gin gimlet… please another! I gave a 4 because the entrees are ridiculously priced, clicked $40, fish $50, steaks $50. It didn’t effect me because I’m a tapas type diner but wanted to be fully transparent.

Food was good, not great, but good. Shortly after ordering wine and my salad, I pretty much became invisible. Had to wait more than I should have for a refill of my wine. When I asked for the check, I gave my credit card. When I got the card and chit back to put my 20% tip on it, not even a thank you, let alone a smile of gratitude. Sorry, never setting foot in there again, and certainly not recommending it to anyone. Much better at Legal’s.

We were staying at a nearby hotel so chose to have delivery by Door Dash. Food arrived still hot. Portions were HUGE. Unfortunately they forgot my swordfish so I can't say how that was but we placed a very large order and had no complaints on the food that did arrive.
