It was great for the price. We sat outside and watched the sun set and people walk by. The salad and service was great. We would go back.

Nice place with good atmosphere, diverse menu, and good wine selection. While others have commented on poor service, we have no complaints in that department. The server was attentive and knowledgeable. My wife enjoyed her Eggplant Parmesan. I ordered the Cioppino which was very disappointing and definitely overpriced. This was not an Italian seafood stew as expected, but the expected... More

The chicken marsala with mushroom tortellini was good as was the lasagna (large, meaty portion). The dessert choices were wierd for an Italian-leaning restaurant - cheesecake, chocolate lava cake and another uninspiring, non-Italian choice I cannot recall. Went for the lava cake which was moist but contained no "lava". I requested decaf coffee with dessert but they did not have... More

I was here for breakfast. was very nice, I had pancakes and my friend had omlette with goat cheese, very nice. The waiter was very friendly, he did not take money for bringing the coffee a bit late. location is superb.

We stopped in for lunch here while attending a conference. We found restaurant prices in the convention center area expensive but this one deserves special mention for being so ridiculously over priced. The service was pretty bad. There were only two tables so it wasn't that we were ignored or the service was slow. They were constantly around to see... More

Five of us went to this place for dinner when we were visiting San Diego last week. We ordered Chicken Pesto Penne and it was horrible. First, we received a bread basket with tomato sauce as a complimentary appetizer. Tomato sauce tasted like it was just warmed up from the can and no cooking was done to it (not even... More

We decided to have diner near the conference center, and chose this place. It's very nice and fancy (and expensive), but the service wasn't good: the waiter told us he needed the table in 1h30 as he was seating us, didn't explain the happy hour, didn't let us order happy hour 4 min before the happy hour time was over.... Toscana is in the heart of the Gaslamp district of San Diego. We went first for drinks and sat outside in a wonderful atmosphere. We then went back twice for dinner and twice for breakfast. Food, service and ambience are great. Highly recommend this place if you are in San Diego.
