You can stop in for tea any day of the week and it's going to be fabulous, but in addition, once a month there is a themed tea. I've had the pleasure of attending several and they were all fabulous, you won't be disappointed. In addition to tea, there's also a shoppe where you'll find all kinds of tea and... More

I went here with my husband. We enjoys all the savories and sweets. My husband is from England and said it all reminded him of home. I would recommend anyone to come here.

I made a reservation here for two for Christmas Afternoon Tea. I thought it was nice that they gave a courtesy call the day before to remind me of the reservation. At $30 per person, the price is steeper than what we typically spend on lunch, but my friend and I thought it was good to treat ourselves once in... More

This is a very cute tea shop with a lot of products from England such as candy , tea, biscuits, linens and tea pots and cups. The staff was very nice. The owner is British and was hosting the tea when we were there. The tea menu was very nice and creatively done in a Harry Potter theme. We even got... More

Our group enjoyed an afternoon tea honoring a friends birthday at Shakespeares. Lovely, friendly staff, nice outdoor patio, very accommodating. They served a nice assortment of two-bite sandwiches, a very nice scone, and some really tasty (again, two bite) desserts, and, of course, your choice of tea. The shop offered a nice selection of British goods. This was my first... More

A great find. Searched online for afternoon tea in San Diego and this was one on the list which I highly recommend. And best for me was they have gluten free options! I did not make my reservation in advance so we could only have the cream tea, which was wonderful. Although you should specify if you want one or... More

Shakespeares is a great place to visit if you are an ex-pat from England, looking for a few fond remembrances from home. The shop sells a variety of teas, and canned goods (Spotted Dick, anyone?). This place is owned and operated by the same fine folks who run the English Pub of the same name, in the adjacent space, where... More
