The ramen at Yakitori Yakyudori is outstanding. Enjoy sitting at the bar and watching the Chefs out everything together. Great service too. Can't wait to go back.

Take it from somebody who has lived in Japan- YKD serves up authentic delicious Japanese style grilled skewers! Better than anywhere else that I have tried in town. Wait can be long esp on weekends but prices are reasonable and service is excellent. Ramen is certainly also amongst the best in SD.

Seemingly authentic, had the lunch special of salad (great dressing) rice bowl (tender beef/ too much ginger) and a small ramen. Very tasty overall. Service mediocre- husband served rice bowl and then we waited 10 minutes and had to ask across the bar to the cook for my lunch. (?) it happens. Good lunch price. Yakitore starts at 5:30 as... More

We were staying down the street at the Hampton Inn, and I searched for Ramen Restaurants near me, and found this gem. We live in Phoenix, so we don't have the cultural culinary options that San Diego has. Anyway, we absolutely loved this place, we both had the Ramen, and it was delicious! There was a short wait, but well... More

We eat here quite regularly and their tonkotsu ramen is delicious. So is the spicy miso. They have yakitori in the evenings and we enjoy buta bara (pork). Avoid regular dinner hours because they're super busy. We try to come early or late to avoid the line.

Came here specifically for Ramen. Ramen was pretty average, was hoping for better flavor and toppings. Girlfriend had the Tonkotsu and the broth just wasn't as rich as I'm used to. Flavor was too light. I had the spicy miso and the flavor was pretty good, heat was about right, but the toppings were mediocre. There was way too much... More

This place is really small and unassuming, but the food is amazing. I didn't try the ramen, but skewers were all amazing.

Located right next to Starbucks this conveniently located eatery has parking in the shared strip center parking lot. Their early menu offers discounts on sides but are nothing to get to excited about. I started off with the edamame and a side of fried oysters. My appetizers arrived within minutes and before I could down one oyster - my order... More

The food here was amazing! We had the best gyoza of any American restaurant. The plum sauce was incredible. You HAVE to eat here if you're in town. We arrived at 5PM and were promptly seated. A long line had formed by 5:30. This place is tiny so get there right when dinner starts.

I went with family for Lunch. Good food especially tonkotsu ramen with gyoza, best chicken karage (fried chicken). Good value for lunch and the place was very busy but we get our chair pretty fast.
