Be ready to wait but it's worth it. They have their own parking in the back. Everything is fresh and service is ok. Always busy but great street tacos.

We lived in Houston for 22 years but now are in NC and really miss good Mexican with homemade tortillas. When we saw the ladies making homemade tortillas in the window we dove right in. Our waiter was awesome, the food was abundant, similar to Tex-Mex and enjoyable. The only thing I didn't like was the place needs some updating... More

This place will always be special to me because the smell and taste of the flour tortillas bring me back to sitting in the kitchen with my late grandmother. Great atmosphere and live music. Very good food.

Having been exposed to the best Mexican food in the world while living in Arizona, there are very few places in California that have good Mexican food. While the ingredients here are fresh, the recipes are absolutely terrible. They actually managed to ruin a cheese crisp. We've eaten here several times with friends, but it's never at our request.

We had a few different items from there, however the street taco were perfect, inexpensive, and just enough to fill you up. Will definitely be going back!

I joined my son and future daughter for breakfast before they went back home. She enjoyed the real "Carne Asada". I love their tortillas...corn and flour!

This place is a hopping place in old town and I can see why. They have amazing guacamole. If you are looking for a romantic quiet place for dinner this is not the place. If you are looking for good food, lots of energy and and don't mind lots of noise this is the place for you. My husband and... More

This is a popular place and we have eaten here before but this visit can't compare to years past. They weren't busy like sometimes. It seemed like something was going on that slowed them down. The Cadillac margarita, which should be a staple in Old Town we weak and flavorless. We both order the Chicken Supreme Salads. The chicken was... More

Stopped here for dinner and was not let down. Salsa was so fresh and good. Burrito was massive. Couldn't come close to eating it. I would return!

I've been going to Old Town Mexican Café for many years. The food and service are always excellent, however, the restaurant has changed ownership and along with that change, they unfortunately no longer make their award-winning and popular spicy red salsa. That salsa was so delicious, it was once published in the Union-Tribune newspaper in San Diego. When I asked... More
