Had a drink at the bar. The bartender was very pleasant and attentive. Good attitude. Only went there because it was next to the hotel. Walk by it later during the night... not sure If I would have gone in for a drink. Looked like a rough crowd.

This is definitely not your average Gaslamp bar. The only way to describe this location is as a dive bar. But it's a cool place to get a drink, and it's one of the oldest bars in San Diego with a history. Wyatt Earp was apparently a frequent customer back in the day. A co-worker and I stopped in here... Great history in this 19th-century dive bar in the heart of the Gaslamp District. Fantastic staff, cold beer and cheap burgers with plenty of sports on TV and a pool table in the back. What else could you want? Well, how about friendly locals, perfect weather year-round and a plethora of other dining, drinking and entertainment options within walking distance?... More

Such an awesome bar to get a drink at. The bartenders were really nice and friendly even though they were about to be slammed by a Halloween event. The atmosphere is a genuine bar that isn't some fake facade like all the crappy bars in the Gaslamp. I always grab a drink here when I am in town.

During the week this was a great locals bar, a very low key place to get a reasonably priced drink. Bartenders were friendly and chatty. Friday night was a different story, wouldn't recommend based on that experience. Bartenders were loud, and interested in their own conversations.

I felt like I walked back in time to an old western. The decor is an eclectic mix of cowboy westerns, saloons and antiques. Staff was very friendly. Appears to be a bar for locals and I loved the atmosphere. Very down to earth and comfortable. You have to purchase the food separate from the bar. Purchased a golf shirt... More

Great location with cheap drinks before a Padres game. Outside sitting area to drink and people watch.

A quick stop for drinks was not good: extremely loud music blaring from the loudspeakers, boxes with tee shirts being unpacked all over the place, you can order any scotch you wish, as long as it's Dewars...

They are expensive unless you go for happy hour. You could spend hours looking at all of the interesting wall decorations. Service was exceptional.
