We stopped by for a quick afternoon snack - great Mexican food! Very authentic, large menu, and great prices. One thing - no margaritas, but we'll be back again!

If you are hungry for a burrito, El Patron Mexican Grill in Mira Mesa is the place. Located in a corner unit of large shopping center anchored by H-Mart, a Korean Supermarket. Lots of guests dining in and doing carry outs. Extensive menu displayed on multiple wall boards. Self Service salsa bar and soda fountain. Some grilled onions and jalapeño... More

I read reviews calling it a hole on the wall. I totally disagree. It was clean and fresh. Not worn or decaying. The meals are reasonable price and very big portions. I couldn't finish mine which is impressive. The menu massive and I will be going back to try a new meal very soon.

We came here on our way back to our hotel after a full day at Sea World and then the beach. We ordered carne asada fries, surf & turf carne asada fries, a California burrito and a Westfield burrito for $36 and change. We ordered our food with a very nice and friendly cashier and the food was ready in... More

I've been going to El patron for couple of years now. It's a local dive, but it is close to the exit of the 15thi FWY. So if you are driving on the 15th and you would like some awesome mexican place this is the place!! Taco Tuesday is super full, the line is outside the door..

We went here for lunch, a group of eight of us and they didn't disappoint. The food was fresh, the service quick. I only ate about a quarter of my shrimp burrito but I snacked on the rest of it throughout the day and finished it for dinner. The portions are huge and the prices are reasonable!

Fresh Salsa and chips. Hot carrots and jalapeno slices to spice up your food. Very friendly, will help you order if you have questions. We hit this place every time we are in Mira Mesa.

We stopped in for an early dinner only to find that the A/C was not working & even with the front door open, did the place cool off. Well with the doors open so entered the flies!. The carne asada burrito was warm at best but tasty. The second dinner plate was not good at all. Rice was not fully... More

San Diego is a city filled with great mexican food, and El Patron is a worthy example. Their menu is extensive. Our party had the ceviche (which was fresh and wonderful), shrimp burrito, shrimp a la diabla (an absolute scorcher), and tacos al pastor. All we're solid, but the al pastor needsa little more chutzpah. Tortillas are made fresh in... More
