My husband wanted a sea food meal while we were on the coast, I found this place so we tried it out. I ordered their platter, one piece of fish, very greasy, three good size breaded shrimp, they were ok, and two breaded scallions, just awful, ate half of one and it left a bad taste in my mouth, this... Menu is excellent, staff very friendly, and the food simply delicious. Make sure to keep room for dessert. Loved the Key lime pie.

I have been coming to San Diego and Mission Valley for years and wish I had found Kings Fish House sooner. What a great treat to find this old timey, casual fish house with great seafood and service. I had the macadamia crusted halibut in a light orange/ginger sauce....no wonder it's one of their most popular dishes. The menu has... More

I've gone to many King's Fishhouses in So Cal and this was by far the best as far as quality and taste of food. Perhaps because it's near the water or really good chefs. Ordered raw oysters, delish and were really huge size. Ordered Seabass--very fresh and juicy. Key lime pie was delish as usual.

Since we came for a Valentine's dinner the restaurant was quite busy. Service was a bit slower than normal but this was to be expected. Both of use order a dozen oysters, well worth the money. Since neither one of us has ever finished a seafood cobb salad there we asked if one could be split between the two of... More

Started with the ceviche. Three kinds of fish served with yummy tostadas. Enough for three or four to share. The clam chowder lived up to its rep and was just perfect. My daughter's grilled mahi mahi was delish and my swordfish was perfectly cooked. Moscow Mule was mixed exactly right and served in a copper cup as it should be.... More

We ate on the terrace. Service was excellent -thanks Derrick. Halibut was a large portion macadamia crusted with a citrus ginger sauce (sauce was just a little bland) and very tasty. Sand dabs were lightly crusted & delicate. Scallops were ordered seared & arrived golden. Sautéed spinach was excellent as we're the glazed carrots.
