We avoided coming here since a not so good experience a couple years ago. What a change! We were served promptly and the food was out fast. This time everything was great: the food was served warm, the salsa was fresh, the coffee was served hot, the staff were genuinely friendly (not just polite), the staff checked on us, and the... I had delicious Breakfast and Dinners here. Parents just here in September, again. Third visit to the Holiday Inn and Garcia's. Gift shop is fantastic too, spend some money there too.

Dinner: Due to some of the ratings ratings, we were hesitant to eat here but we found it to be fine with careful selection of entrees as suggested by another Trip Advisor reviewer. Very clean restaurant furnished in a pleasant rustic style. Service was very friendly and our waiter steered us in the right direction. Restaurant and prices were good... More

Of two main dinner locations in Chinle, this is the better of the two. Good food, good service, nice atmosphere for a location in the middle of very small place,

We ate here on our second night in Chinle. It is par tof the Holiday Inn, but seemed to be a separate facility. Food was reasonably good, service was a bit spotty - we ordered soup that was not delivered until after our entrees.

Visited the gift shop and bought a couple of t shirts the went into the restaurant for a small meal. We ordered fry bread and chicken wings. Wings came with bar b que sauce. I asked for some honey mustard and wife asked for ranch. No ranch so they brought her thousand island. Food was good and fry bread was... More

Garcia's is located at the Holiday Inn near to the entrance of Canyon de Chelly. It is not operated by Holiday Inn. We had dinner there the night we stayed at HI. A busload of German tourists was just ahead of us, so we had to wait a while for service. However, once the kitchen got cranking, our meals arrived.... More

Chinle has few non-chain restaurants. We ate at Junction and Garcia's. Both are good. Both give you sound Mexican food for not much money. (You are on the Navajo reservation, so no alcohol.). The servings are very large -- so I'd only choose one menu item. At Gracia's, I found the Fajita delicious: I had chicken, and it was perfectly... More

Had breakfast this morning, a little before the buffet closed. This is not the free breakfast one normally gets at a HI....we opted for the menu breakfast and had the mini waffles and the egg muffin sandwich. Quick seating and service from a very friendly waitperson with a great smile (Anna); food was excellent, albeit a bit pricey, but this... More
