The food & the service were both excellent. With so many restaurants on Cape Cod serving "mass production" food it was nice to have a meal that was well prepared. We had the grilled scallop & spinach appetizer and the scallops were fresh & cooked perfectly and the spinach was lightly sautéed - mouth watering, so much flavor. The entries... More

My wife's birthday choice was to go to Finely JPs a local favorite for us, especially in the off season. Her cousin joined us and we chose the prix fixe early bird time between five and six for a $22 three course meal. My wife and I started with the mesclun salad which was presented nicely and I chose the... More

Friendly fast service. Even to me a guy with a Yankee cap on in red sox territory. ( go sox) this place runs a great clean, reasonably priced, fast efficient service. Above excellent food. I highly reccomend the chowder and the lobster roll

Went to the Cap this weekend. This place was supposed to have the best lobster roll. The food was good, but certainly not the best. The clam chowder was very watery. The ice cream was not that fresh. Overall, OK place, but not great.

We've visited many times over the yaers and have ALWAYS had a terrific meal. Cozy bar for waiting (usually not necessary!) Terrific menu, awesome wait personnel, and friendly management. John Pontius (JP) puts his all into the menu year after year, with luscious seafood creations right beside inventive duckling, chicken, pork loin and beef dishes. Wellfleet Paella is a wonder!... A quiet, fine-dining restaurant with an interesting menu and a luxurious atmosphere. Good for when you are not in the mood for steamed lobster or fried scallops. (That said, it takes me a long time to get sick of fried scallops....)

JP's is as good as ever and so moderately priced. You could spend alot more and not have as great a meal as this place serves. They remember you and treat you like family. I understand JP is the owner chef and is always in the kitchen. The new outdoor garden seating is very pretty and Brunch on Sundays only... More

I went in April on a Saturday here and was pleasantly surprised that there was no wait considering in the summertime its normally mobbed. I went with 6 people and we had 3 apps, entree each, 2 drinks a piece and 3 desserts and the bill with a 20 percent tip was still a reasonable $320.00. The apps were amazing,... More

Charming atmosphere, but the star here is the food. I had the pan fried almond crusted sole and my friend had the cod accompanied by a lovely pinot gris, all moderatley priced. If you're in the Wellfleet area, this is a must-try.
