It had been awhile since I'd been to Big Al's and my sister wanted to go there for lunch. We got cheeseburgers with fries and desserts. Have to admit the burger was ok, the fries were ok and the surroundings were ok, but the Creamsicle float was the bomb! Next time I'll probably eat lunch somewhere else and save Big... More

Went with the wife and kids. Great portions. Decent selection and fountain drinks. Too full to enjoy one of their obviously fantastic desserts. Excellent service too.

Cute place, oldies music playing, good food. Our waiter James was the most polite and happy person... he covered the whole bar and our section, never frazzled, no Mistakes. Burger was good, very filling

So you go to the Outer Banks for the first time and you get one of those wonderful coupon books with all the deals and bright ads and you decide to try Big Al's and you have a coupon. You love a burger. How could anyone mess up a burger right ? Well, let it be known that this place... More

Cute little place with lots of Coca-Cola decor and a gift shop out the back. I didn't think the food was spectacular, but it was definitely edible. We had the 1. main feature double cheeseburger. it was big but was on the dry side. 2. fish and chips basket. The fish was good as was the tarter sauce. 3. Kids... More

We took the grandkids for lunch after the aquarium. Great food and fun atmosphere. My son said it was the best burger he has ever had.

We discovered Big Al's several years ago; and when we returned to the Outer Banks this year, we had to visit Big Al's! It's a great diner; great food; great service. Thanks to our waitress, Jennie, who was great! Burgers, fries, and a coke float. If you like bean burgers, they have one of the best! And if you like... More

We had a great meal last night. I had the Philly Steak & Cheese. It was excellent. It was worth the visit. The place was a bit pricey.

Big Al's is an Outer Banks staple. You will not walk away hungry. Every time we visit, we have to go to Big Al's. Great burgers, outstanding Cherry Coke (yes, they are sweet but authentic to the era Al's is capturing) & friendly staff. Jeanie (sp?) was awesome! Added extra cherries to my daughters Shirley Temple & was personable. You... More
