Amazing individual pies (apple, cheery, rhubarb/strawberry, mixed berry). With coffee, homemade ice cream and homemade pie for brunch--nothing was better!

We stayed in the Fruita Campground for a week in May and started each day with a walk along the river trail to the Gifford House for their wonderful small pies. We eventually tried all of them but our favorites were cherry, mixed berry and...More

This place is charming but the draw is the fresh pies. Cherry was my favorite but the mixed berry is awesome as well. The ice cream is also great after a hike, and the staff are as sweet as the pie.

What a great treat after a long ride. We had the mixed berry pie and Dutch apple. Both were absolutely terrific.

When visiting the park, we drove to the end of the road, went for a walk, drove out. Went to gifford’s for pie. At 12:10 it was very busy. Amongst the chatter, we learned they had sold

Get here early for the pie but the souvenirs in here, both the edible ones and the handmade ones, are unlike any you will get in the national park visitor center

Not sure if it is worth a long drive on its own, but since it's at the entrance of Capitol Reef, it is worth a short stay and maybe even the purchase of a homemade pie.

I would say breakfast as they mainly have coffee, pastries and pies. Tables are outside to eat.
