My wife and I were traveling to the Carlsbad Caverns and were looking for some takeout to eat on the way So, we saw the No Whiner Diner and checked out the excellent menu. I had a HUGE BLT sandwich served on marble bread (I think that's what you call it) with great condiments, pickle, sauce, and delicious onion rings.... More

We looked online to see what was in the area and this diner came up. We arrived at 6.10pm and were seated immediately. Service was good but the food was not. We ordered from the Seasoned part of the menu. We ordered steak and had the choice of side. One chose baked potatoe, the other onion rings. The other meal... More

If you understand that you are in Carlsbad and not London then you can manage your expectations accordingly and enjoy this fun diner. The service was really good. The food was good. Not great, but good. If you have a sweet tooth, the Mt. St. Helens is a fun option for dessert.

Went for dinner for 2. Chicken fried steak was hot and yummy. Summer pasta was also pretty good. Senior sized portions were just right for us.

I was new to town and visited the diner on a lunch break after looking at trip advisor. I was very pleasantly surprised. I had a chicken fried steak with onion rings and it was very good. The diner was full and the waitresses were attentive and polite. Everything was clean and there was a good atmosphere. It is not... More

Having checked TripAdvisor before going to Carlsbad, N.M., I saw that this place had a 4 star rating. Many good reviews regarding the rib-eye steak dinner. My husband and I like to find the best steak house when we travel so we were excited to enjoy a great dinner. Our salads were brought out promptly with a wonderful warm bread.... More

Wondered about the name, but staff didn't know. Exceeded our expectations. Prime rib was the nightly special and it was delicious. Blackened catfish was a surprise. Absolutely enjoyed it. Would not dream of whining.

Good menu selection of decent food. I had the meat balls and spaghetti, very tasty. My wife had a tuna sandwich which she enjoyed.

The prime rib was rare and tender. The summer pasta dish was fresh and tasty. The salad was a little tired and the chicken soup was too salty and spicy. However, the chocolate tart made up for the negatives.

We stopped here for dinner based on Trip Advisor reviews. I had the Salisbury Steak and my wife the meatloaf. The meatloaf was so-so with little or no flavor. The Salisbury Steak was a complete hunk of mystery meat. This consisted of two hard little patties with what looked like fake grill marks. This reminded me of old time TV... More
