As a Slovenian citizen I'm proud when they offer wine from my country in a NYC bar or restaurant. Terroir has a huge variety and serves michelin star style food. I enjoyed rabbit stew and great variety of selected wina to pair with food. Great service, thank you.

What more can you ask for on a sunny October day? Hot cider with a shot of Madeira wine in one of the best places ever!

Came across this bar while walking the Highline. It's this little outdoor sea can with a set-up of tables and seating. It's a great location to stop and have a beer. Prices are a little expensive. Service was friendly. There is no washroom at this location but public washrooms are not far from it.

This place sits atop the Highline near 15th St and has gorgeous views of the Hudson river. It is VERY casual (think picnic tables) and often quite crowded, particularly when the weather is great. They have nice nibbles - hummus, charcuterie, cheese plates and such, all designed to pair with beer and wine. The prices are fair and the service... More

This place is a pretentious ripoff. I am amazed at all the good reviews. Even for NYC, it stands out as high priced for what you get--which is mediocre at best. The menu gives the impression that you are in for some kind of foodie experience, but here's what we ended up with: bratwurst on a bun, $12: A tiny... More

Our waitress was Tara she was rude and just not responsive to our needs. I felt as we were rushed with the order. Ruined the whole experience. Even though I wanted eat there I opted for something to drink. Then when they told me they didnt have ice cubes. I'm thinking this place needs to be left alone. You'd be... More

Terroir is an outdoor bar on The High Line. There are a number of benches where you can sit and drink one of the locally brewed beers that are available on draft, or have a glass of wine. There is a good menu of light meals: sandwiches, hot dogs, salads, charcuterie, cheese and bar snacks. There is a good view... More

We stopped here for a few drinks after the Chelsea Market. The view is nice, overlooking the river and there is a great buzz about the place. Not too unreasonably priced.

My wife and I stopped for a drink while walking along the High Line. Great selection of wines and beers, and we enjoyed the atmosphere. Would definitely stop here again.

This hidden gem was introduced to us, by man who imports best Slovenian wines in NY. We enjoyed art work from chef and must say that rabbit dish was amazing. Also we had the chance to drink wine from all over world. Thanks for overall experience from team and home feel.

Thank Saso D

Staying in East Village

Neighbourhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighbourhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighbourhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
