The cookies are a nice size - soft in the middle and a bit of crunch on the outside. The Ice Cream Sandwiches are so huge and delicious. I love the chocolate chip! The atmosphere does not make you want to hang out. The chairs are uncomfortable, the paint is peeling and it is very small. I guess it is... More

Milk and Cookies is one of my favorite places in the West Village. The salted oat and white chocolate cookie with dark chocolate ice cream makes the best ice cream sandwich I've had. Its a very cute place on a lovely block and I highly recommend it!

Went in here on a recent visit to the village. Shared the salted chocolate cookie which was nice but think it had been sitting out on the shelves for a while as was a bit stale. The lady behind the counter however was just so unpleasant, close to the worst customer service I have ever, ever experienced. V rude to... More

We went here as part of a Food Tour in Greenwich village on a Saturday afternoon. The place is quaint and the cookies were sampled were very good. However the owner, who was there while we were there, never said Hi, greeted us in anyway, and never even smiled. Take pride in your place, show some emotion toward the 12... More

We tried their chocolate chip cookie and were very impressed with them. First off, the cookie is about as big as your hand and substantial. Had a crumbly texture and used Guittard chocolate. We very much enjoyed it.

Had a taster on the NYC food tour but had to go back for more. Best cookies I have ever had. Cute friendly store.

I was going to get ice cream on the corner but the line was pathologically long and I saw this little storefront lit up-I wasn't sure which kind of store it was but it turned out to be coffee shop with cookies, brownies and ice cream. I walked in, thinking that they were closing but they told me that they... More

Located on a quiet Village street is a tiny bakery with space for maybe 15 people if prepared to get cosy. In here though they serve the BEST cookies. From Salted Caramel to Bacon Snap (which is made with bacon, smells like bacon but tastes sweet and gooey with just a hint of bacon-goodness). The cookies are big, moist, incredibly... More

So, it's pretty hard to compare to the holy grail of cookies: Levain, but I will try to rate these on their own. Milk & Cookies is hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the more busy streets in the west village. They have a variety of cookies all on trays ready to be bought. Not sure how long... More

We stopped here for quick sweet snack and each got a chocolate cookie. It was good but too many chocolate chips! It may seem like a good idea to have so many chips but the cookie becomes too sweet and lacks texture other than chips. I did not really enjoy it and would not get it again. I prefer something... Staying in West Village

Neighbourhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
