This is a very curious place. Directly from proibizionismo period it is hidden behind a normal mainframe door. During the night is recognizable because there is a man seated outside. Drink are delicious but expensive (16$). At l'estate one Drink is necessary because it is a original experience to have

The craziest most inventive cocktail list I've ever seen. High end, but worth every penny..one of the best djs I've heard in a long while. They are nailing the apothecary/chinatown/speak easy vibe here! It was awesome

This place is simply awesome. You have to go there. The cocktails are some of the best in New York. Only thing I would say is that they could attempt to use better and different glasses. Loved it.

Definitely check this place out. It's down a side road in China town. Once inside it looks like an apothecary. If you can afford it, get some absinthe, they prepare it the right way and you look like you're drinking witches brew. This place was so fun! But it does get crowded so I recommend going early.

Visited Apotheke late at night with colleagues after a dinner in Chinatown. The street felt shady as we walked off Bowery onto the side street, and the entrance doorway didn't give the impression there was a nightclub behind it. But soon as we entered, the place was transformed. Really nice ambience, good music, and great to hang out for an... More

This was a cool place - may encounter a line to get in but it's worth it. Large bar - only one bathroom. Good music but not a good DJ - mixing was very off. Great selection of cocktails though. Had lots of fun but it was part of my hopping scene that night

I had a few drinks at this busy and fancy cocktail bar in NYC. Uniform of the staff; furnitures and cocktail list bring you to a far past where cocktails where not just drinks. Fantastic

So NYC is in the boom of hidden bars with a twist the past 5 years or so and this is another one. Hidden down an alley with the neon lit sign and burly bouncer it ticks all the boxes for those of us who are a sucker for anything a bit different (but not really that different anymore because... After pouring over the INCREDIBLE cocktail menu and ogling the amazing staff we sat amongst the beautiful others in the incredible set up that is Apotheke. We could only afford one drink each but it was a superb experience!

One the famous New York speakeasy. Need a password to enter, very exclusive cocktails menu, excellent cocktails, terrific atmosphere, a really great place to start or finish a night out.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.
