Walked in for a quick pasta, but it proofed so much more!! All 3 of us had a different dish, but the same feedback: AMAZING food, excellent wine to pair and good service.

We had an excellent meal here with friends. Everything we ate was delicious and well presented. The service was professional and prompt. Noise level was lively but we were able to enjoy the conversations.

Scarpetta was extremely noisy from the moment we walked in to the time we left. Service was fair. Food was very good. Prices were very high, especially the wine mark up.

We had breakfast here during our stay. It was very average. They are pretty snobby and the frankly the place has a very dull vibe. Too many good restaurants in NY to eat here.

The bar is perfect for solo diners. It is small and cozy. If you want to enjoy a table, do it. Their service will be top notch no matter the number of guests!

The Italian expression, "fare la scarpetta," describes the gesture of taking the little boot-shaped piece of bread to soak up the remaining sauce left in the pot of one's home kitchen. In 2008, Scarpetta received a James Beard nomination for 'Best New Restaurant in America' as well as a coveted three-star review from the New York Times.
