It's not easy to find good coffee in the average hotel or the main coffee chains. But this charming little bar does. We enjoyed our latte on their terrace, out of the rain.

To the owner of this shop: hire staff that is trained to sell your products. I asked what kind of tea they had, twice, and the person behind the counter insisted in responding "if you tell me what you want, I'll let you know if we have it". Needless to say, I didn't order any tea. Note that teas are for sale, but not available on your menu, which is why we asked. When my friend asked what milk options they had, this employee insisted on providing the same response. We walked out without making any purchases. That is revenue lost. There is plenty competition around your business.

We stayed at the gallivant hotel just over the road and visited a couple of times. We sat inside and it was clearly popular with the locals. Pastries were lovely, definitely worth a visit for your coffee fix and a pastry.

Office next door and this is the best coffee in the neighbourhood - even accounting for the rarity of great coffee in NY. Pastries are v good too.

We had coffee here everyday and even went back for an afternoon coffee one day. Also had breakfast items and pastries. Staff was friendly and gave suggestions when asked. Small shop but we sat at the tables outside.

We had the Nutella mini pie and an Eclair, both were very good. The Nutella mini pie was very rich. Note that during the afternoon the variety of pastries is reduced

When you like real Italian quality coffee. And very nice pastries and self made sandwiches..., go to Masseria! Very small place, but we enjoyed our early morning breakfast here.

Tip - If you are staying in The Gallivant Hotel , Times Square, show your room key and the caffe/Bakery will give you 5% off your bill - every little helps especially when it comes to pastries and coffee

We had some coffee and croissants at the Masseria and it was nice. We only had these items and it was nice enough. Fresh food, nice coffee, I recommend this place for a quick bite to eat and a quick coffee.

We were on holiday in New York and La Masseria Cafe was right across the road from our hotel, so it became our regular first-stop before our day's adventuring. The usual selection of hot drinks was available, but most importantly they did Soya Milk (as one of us is lactose-intolerant) and Decaff (as one of us doesn't agree with too much caffeine). There was also a fine selection of tasty breakfast pastries. A particular favourite was a croissant filled with Nutella. We really enjoyed having such a good coffee shop local to our hotel. Good Coffee!

After wondering around for a bit looking for somewhere to eat my wife saw this restaurant and they accommodated us even though they where not quite serving yet. We had some pasta dishes and the food was simply excellent probably one of the best Italians I’ve ever had. The one downside which is not a reflection of the restaurant is that it probably wasn’t the most family friendly we have two kids and both where playing up and the other diners did not look to impressed.

This was across from our hotel, the coffee is amazing as is their Panini sandwiches but it's just a lovely wee place to sit (not very big in fairness) but loved it here

I know most Americans love drip coffee but it’s not something we as Australians are used to at all, Starbucks do their thing but it’s nothing like Starbucks at home. Barista coffee is a staple here in australia with a decent Barrista in most cafes, so heading to the USA I dread the coffee as prior to this trip I have never had a coffee I could say was great just that it “did the job”. You get that though you travel to different countries and you expect things to be different so I never complained, it is what it is. This trip whilst in New York I was having a conversation with a Town Car driver we had engaged to drive us around the city for the day, a real local, he asked me how I was coping with the coffee situation as he too loved a great barista coffee, we talked at length about the poor coffee that is served in the majority of places unless you know “where to go” The following morning whilst taking us to the airport he stopped at Masseria Cafe and Bakery and thank the lord I had a wonderful Latte, it wasn’t burnt it didn’t taste like dirt it was delightful, smooth beautiful coffee. Thank you Masseria I will always remember my amazing coffee in New York City.

Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
