we were walking down the street and came across this restaurant purely by chance . it was just an open doorway, but it looked so cool and interesting that we had to take a look inside.and we are so glad we did. the food was amazing and we loved the atmosphere inside with the low lighting.

Met someone for cocktails and dinner and enjoyed the variety offered on the menu. It was very laid back with a nice energetic vibe. The food was really good with some up to date inventive dishes and spices. I would return here in a heartbeat.

My husband and I ate here last week and while we enjoyed the experience at the time - food was alright and the ambience was fun - I now realise that the restaurant added a whopping 40% tip to the bill despite my rounding up the total bill to include a 20% tip!! Have I been ripped off? I want... More

We firstly called in and had a cocktail one evening. Sat at the bar, great cocktails and very friendly bartender. We decided to come back another evening to eat and we're so glad we did. The food was great and so different to what we had already eaten whilst in NYC. The decor is brilliant - you expect Indiana Jones... More

Came here for a very late dinner (about 11:30), as it was one of the few places in this part of Tribeca that seemed to be still serving dinner. We shared 5 dishes and everything was delicious. The atmosphere was very hip and the service was good. It was a little loud as it was really much more of a... More

Having lived in Macao for 10 years and seen the change from Old Portuguese / Macanese to China meets Las Vegas it was a pleasant surprise to see a restaurant with Macanese favourites and new twists. We visited New York last weekend and thought this restaurant would bring back happy memories ... there was certainly a Macao vibe and we... More

We literally walked past three times before finding the entrance. What looks like a doorway to a private residence or business, hides a buzzing little joint with excellent food. As there was just myself and my brother we chose to sit at the bar, but the tables looked nice too. Often with places like this, the emphasis is on cool... More

Popped in hear across from hotel on a Monday night and a nice 3 piece jazz band playing. Pretty noisy so hard to have a decent conversation but all the locals friendly and the quality of the music good. Big cocktail list and snacks avail. Didn't do the 'downstairs' which apparently goes off later in week and weekends. Good local... More

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighbourhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighbourhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighbourhood home.
