Hidden lil gem get crowded early. By 6pm, every seat is full in house. Dim-lit hole, maybe 55 seats, warm and old school. You get the distinct impression that your not paying for atmosphere. The drinks: they offer about 26 craft beers of the highest quality and rarity. Liquors offered too. Most beers are $7, but few are more. My... More

Active craft beer bar in NYC west village with wide range of style. Crowded small space where you will most likely be standing. Fire place was a nice touch on a cold winter night. You will also have to jockey for position to get a beer. Fun place.

This is a great place - I'm not a beer drinker but even I can tell the range is impressive! The Sauvignon Blanc (always my alternative tipple here) is lovely and always served at the perfect temperature. The bar staff are friendly and knowledgeable and there's a good range of food on offer though I never get beyond the grilled... More

Blind Tiger not only predates the real beer movement, but was already a local institution whilst localised, craft brewing was but a twinkle in the hipster’s bourgeois eye. 27 taps is not enormous for the States (Sunset Grille & Tap in Boston has 112), but it represents at least a days (ahem) effort. Europe is much more bottle-centric (400+ in... More

Lots of craft beer on tap. Nice surroundings and friendly staff but it would be nice if they could manage to put in a few more tables. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

This is a great pub in one of the most prime locations in NYC. Great beers to choose from and a nice vibe to go along with it. It's worth a drop in for a cold beer after a long morning/noon of walking around through the blistering heat of an NYC summer day.

Found the Blind Tiger on here and had to visit. Great little spot in the Village with a big beer selection. We were a loud and large bunch and our server was patient with us and generous with the tastings. The menu was small but impressive and the food didn't disappoint...only problem was wings were ordered and person didnt specify... More

This place has a good selection of craft and seasonal beers. The food is surprisingly good for what you would probably consider "bar food." Honestly haven't had a bad thing here. The wings are awesome. It is a smaller place so it can be kind of tough to find seats/get a beer at times but overall a good experience. If... More

The level of service and beer knowledge was disappointing. The food was ok, not great, but not bad. A big part of the experience of visiting a craft beer bar is being able to talk about the beer with the staff. The staff at Blind Tiger may has well have been selling Bud Lite for all they appeared to care... More

Staying in West Village

Neighbourhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
