Everything was delicious. And the servers are really helpful to explain all the things. You can watch how they prepare the foods.

Dirt Candy's flavor-forward vegetarian cuisine is for everyone who appreciates interesting, creative cuisine. Ideally, go with a few friends and splurge on the 9-10 course "vegetable garden." I was by myself and thoroughly enjoyed the more modest "vegetable patch" menu, but would've liked to try...More

Have to say Dirt Candy was a revelation in flavorful vegetarian food. I loved every course (would have liked to choose my own dishes but I got over it), particularly the Korean broccoli, the carrot slider and the brussel sprout lettuce wraps. The corn cake...More

I wanted to love Dirt Candy, and I did appreciate the $30 prix fixe brunch menu, but I'm not sure I'll return because the food, sadly, was not that good. My green eggs were delicious, but none of the three baked goods I tasted were...More

While the atmosphere and service were excellent, I can’t say the same about the food. Yes it was creative, yes it was innovative but it just didn’t reach the culinary heights that it’s been awarded. I still respect Amanda Cohen and think she’s a good...More

We made a reservation at Dirt Candy on the recommendation of friends and we were not disappointed. We were lucky to get seats overlooking the kitchen, so we could watch the amazing food being prepared by a team of very talented chefs. And the dishes...More

I raved about Dirt Candy in my review of 12/11 when the place was still on East 9th St. but the truth is when we visited the new site, we were disappointed. Somehow we felt the charm, beauty, and great taste of her food wasn't...More

Cutting edge vegetarian food with added flavor and no politics in this sleek and stylish restaurant that's a showcase for crazy, pop-tastic dishes from award-winning chef, Amanda Cohen. A below-the-radar wine list, raves from Gourmet and Bon Appetit, and vegetables presented in all their earth-shattering, gob-smacking glory.
