Wonderful Atmosphere. Great greeting as I entered, seated, and drink order taken quickly. I went along for a drink, and to enjoy the entertainment provided by Jerry on the Piano, and the Bar Staff - Elaine waiting tables, Laura and Tommy behind the Bar. All of them VERY Talented, and they 'helped Jerry out' with their own contributions to the... More

We came based on review of the prix fixe menu. The $35 options made this deal terrible. In some cases, the price would have been cheaper to order the three courses a la carte off the menu. As a result, we opted to just order entrees and drinks. One of us ordered an Old Fashioned - a pretty standard drink... More

I'm going to say add Don't Tell Mama to your NYC to-do list, because it was easily one of the highlights of our trip to the Big Apple. It was my first time to NYC, my husband's second, and everyone recommended we see a show. The thing is, neither of us enjoy musicals. Still, I wanted a taste of that... More

Among the thousands of choices in NYC this restaurant is worth a visit. A good choice before or after a show. The place was small and packed so make a reservation. The service is fine, the food is good and the customers joined in to have a good time with the piano bar.

We were looking for a Piano Bar and our hotel recommended this place. We arrived early so decided to eat in the restaurant. What a disappointment. We ordered the lobster ravioli and had to send it back because it was lukewarm. This was not a cheap restaurant but there was no attention to detail, or even pride in the food... More

Went for drinks on a Wednesday following positive reviews on here. Arrived around 9.30 and there was only 2 other people in the venue. We sat at the bar and had a drink. Overpriced and rude bar service. Place had no atmosphere despite live pianist. Left after one drink to return to the bar we were previously in.

A friend and I stopped in for some happy hour drinks before dinner. They had a $5 wine special. So we warmed up and had some wine. We have been before here for shows. It's a fun late night place to sing along with show tunes. We heard about their boozey Sunday brunch and will come back and try it.

Have been to Mama a number of times, always for drinks after a matinee. This is a great little place for drinks. Nice cozy ambience, reasonable prices for the area and very nice people working there and the piano is a definite plus. If you are in the theatre and do not want to get ripped off at one of... More

Many nearby restaurants we chose, it was a good decision. Classy place, great food! Very good choice, meats, fish and salads. The intimate jazz club next door is attached to the place, great live music!

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
