Went above and beyond to recognize and help us to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. Service was second to none. Great drinks and perfect date night atmosphere. Good feel for the local NY neighborhood in West Village.

I have dined at this West Village Italian eatery for some years and the food and service continues to shine. Book weeks in advance if you want to reserve a table or take a chance at bar seating which is unreserved and available on a...More

This was not an easy place to get into, but when I did it became clear it was worth the effort. There is an open kitchen, with a lively, diverse menu. Beef carpaccio had excellent flavor with small croutons for texture, the octopus was nicely...More

A smaller place with lots of activity but not so loud it’s annoying. Tables are close together and it is crowded. Staff was great, we made the reservation online for the wrong day but they were able to clear a place at the bar for...More

Wandered around the West Village, hangry, with my picky sister, arguing until we found something with a menu we could both agree on. Note: we were looking for high end deliciousness brunch. She teeters back and forth with being gluten free, and not. I was...More

We had a wonderful dinner here a few weeks ago. Our reservation was for 8:30 but we didn't get seated until 9. The maitre d was so accommodating and apologetic and we got an appetizer on the house. The food is truly amazing. Perfectly sized...More

This is a cool place, the service was great even though they offered my fish dish in the same way steak is offered, i.e. Rare medium rare etc. There is no need for this level of pretension. The food was great and the a good...More

West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the
West Village is one of the city’s most coveted
addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and
cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture,
this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You
won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan.
Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to
get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you

Opened in December of 2008, L'Artusi is the second step from the team that brought dell'anima to the West Village. Chef/Partner Gabriel Thompson and Beverage Director/Partner Joe Campanale share their expertise in Italian Epicurean Hospitality on a larger stage. Featuring rustic cuisine, a crudo bar, specialty cheese program, private dining room, and a walk-in wine cellar, L’Artusi offers guests a variety of dining options and a warm, friendly vibe. Our 110 seat restaurant, designed by Brooke Maples, features two floors of comfortable banquette seating, extended traditional bar, cheese bar and a chef's counter over-looking the open kitchen. Private dining opportunities are also available in our 2500 bottle walk-in wine cellar.
