Great food and a nice ambiance! Interesting choices on the menu. The waiter service was perfect! A little noisy, though.

5* cuisine, with surprisingly low price points. Friendly, expert, professional, attentive service. No wonder it’s so hard to get a reservation here. Amuse bouche of a small ramekin of chilled cauliflower and fennel soup. Octopus, had a light char on tender sweet meat, accented with...More

I loved everything about this restaurant--the food, the service, the ambiance. It was if a restaurant was created featuring my own favorite flavors and ingredients. Think rustic Italian that's been made even more delicious with more herbs and spice. The pasta with clams, breadcrumbs, herbs,...More

A casual, noisy Italian restaurant with really good food and reasonable prices. Over all we went family style and ordered plenty of appetizers to share and each of us had a main entree. I personally was disappointed that their gluten free pasta was not from...More

The atmosphere bustles and the noise level is a bit on the high side....frequented by a primarily young crowd. We lucked out having a table at the back of the room in a corner. The waiter was exceptional (A+)....Abdul. He couldn't have done more to...More

L’artusi is New York’s best Italian restaurant. Note that the reviewers complaining about close-together tables aren’t from New York. Of course the tables are close together - this is the densely populated island in the world..! And expensive? Again, sorry / not sorry - welcome...More

West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the
West Village is one of the city’s most coveted
addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and
cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture,
this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You
won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan.
Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to
get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you

Opened in December of 2008, L'Artusi is the second step from the team that brought dell'anima to the West Village. Chef/Partner Gabriel Thompson and Beverage Director/Partner Joe Campanale share their expertise in Italian Epicurean Hospitality on a larger stage. Featuring rustic cuisine, a crudo bar, specialty cheese program, private dining room, and a walk-in wine cellar, L’Artusi offers guests a variety of dining options and a warm, friendly vibe. Our 110 seat restaurant, designed by Brooke Maples, features two floors of comfortable banquette seating, extended traditional bar, cheese bar and a chef's counter over-looking the open kitchen. Private dining opportunities are also available in our 2500 bottle walk-in wine cellar.
