I made a booking for myself and when I turned up, was asked if I wanted to sit at the bar. This really annoys me because they obviously just want to keep the table for couples. I sat at the bar and wasn’t given a...More

L’Artusi is probably our favorite all-around restaurant in NYC. Every dish is thoughtfully curated and delicious, the service is impeccable yet unpretentious and the ambiance is trendy and romantic at the same time. We’re not sure how one restaurant can accomplish all of these things,...More

A very trendy place, judging from the well dressed beautiful people. L'Artusi was recommended by a chef from NYC who lives in the neighborhood. The cocktails were excellent, service was good, dinner was good but not truly impressive. The bill was quite reasonable.

I waited months to get a reservation at L'Artusi - you really have to plan ahead and reserve at exactly 12am one month before your desired reservation date. The wait was well worth it. I came here to celebrate my mom's birthday, and we both...More

Our meal was across the board excellent. The food offerings are diverse, but mostly Italian. The wine list is strong, but entirely Italian. The setting is good, but the acoustics are very challenging. Toward the back of the restaurant was a distinct smell of mold....More

Great Italian that we wouldn't have known about until a friend recommended! So glad we had dinner here during our visit to NYC - the food was delicious. It was so busy for a Tuesday night so would recommend booking as the host was turning...More

West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the
West Village is one of the city’s most coveted
addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and
cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture,
this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You
won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan.
Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to
get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you

Opened in December of 2008, L'Artusi is the second step from the team that brought dell'anima to the West Village. Chef/Partner Gabriel Thompson and Beverage Director/Partner Joe Campanale share their expertise in Italian Epicurean Hospitality on a larger stage. Featuring rustic cuisine, a crudo bar, specialty cheese program, private dining room, and a walk-in wine cellar, L’Artusi offers guests a variety of dining options and a warm, friendly vibe. Our 110 seat restaurant, designed by Brooke Maples, features two floors of comfortable banquette seating, extended traditional bar, cheese bar and a chef's counter over-looking the open kitchen. Private dining opportunities are also available in our 2500 bottle walk-in wine cellar.
