Not sure what is going on with the reviews here, but my experience was positive. We had the most authentic Mexican food ever. We had buffet as we were with a group so there was about 20 choices. Everything was fresh, home made, and authentic. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Big disappointment. Chicken burritos had more gristle than chicken, sangria was a joke - no booze, no fruit. Coffee came out luke warm and only 2 desserts. Server was pleasant and attentive.

Though we walked in at 9pm on weeknight, they happily served us along with our 4 year old. They made her feel very welcome, which went a long way with her parents. The food was good, the prices were reasonable and they had a few drinks that were unique. We liked the food so much that we got takeout the... More

Mexican food was fresh and prepared well. The bar area filled up with 20-something professionals around 6:00 pm. If you're in that group, this would be a good place to meet people. Drink prices are standard for the City, which means high. A bit understaffed for the size of the crowd, so wait service in the dining area was not... More

Wanting just a snack and some time to rest my feet close to the hotel I stopped in for guacamole and chips. I wolud have done better to buy snacks at the drugstore. Stale chips with uninspired salsa and guacamole that tasted frozen.

We dined here whilst visiting New York. We checked out a few places before choosing this and were extremely glad that we picked this one. The restaurant was quite busy and in consequence the noise level almost defeaning. Why do Americans have to shout at each other when they are dining?? We were served by the very efficient Victoria and... More

Went this past weekend on my birthday (Saturday night). They have a deal that birthday person drinks free from 9pm-2am, and their friends have $25 open bar from 9pm-12am that includes domestic beer, wine, well drinks and margaritas. Sounds like a fantastic deal in NYC, right? Not worth it. Got there and got in with no problem. Got our wristbands,... More

Let me premise my review by stating that Calico Jack's and McFadden's (located in the adjacent space) provide certain happy hour specials around 5:00 PM every day which convert the restaurants to a commuter club/bar (proximity to Grand Central). This review only addresses the lunch crowd. The service and food at Calico Jack's is great for a lunch time venue.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
