We were there on the evening of St. Patricks day, so it was really busy. But the service was good and friendly without trying to turn the table. The lettuce rolls were really good. My friend didn't like the DIY aspect versus fully assembled in the kitchen, but the beautifully flavored steak was slightly sweet and very juicy. I ordered... More

In anticipation of another win for SHU in the tournament, we opted to stay close to The Garden and go to our favorite little bistro Seven. The drinks and food were just what we needed before a tough game with Villanova. (We lost in a battle). Since it was Friday in Lent we both ordered a fish dish. Mine was... More

Stopped in for lunch on Saturday, only one table was occupied. We ordered sandwiches and a beer, both were good. Service was very slow. No chance of getting another beer. Lots of staff walking around but not very interested in the customers.

We looked hard for a place near Penn Station with a lively and appealing bar, an interesting menu of dishes large and small, and an atmosphere that was casual yet snappy and well-designed. We found it here at Seven. The bar was cool and the bartender equally so. When the wine we wanted was out of stock, friendly and knowledgeable... More

My daughter went here for dinner before a concert at Madison Square Garden. They have a comfortable casual upstairs dining area in the back of the restaurant. The service was excellent and they had a nice range on the menu, from burgers to higher end entrees. Drinks were reasonable priced. Great experience and my new office is nearby, so will... More

We had an early Valentine’s Day dinner since we were heading to watch the second night of the Westminster Kennel Club dog show at Madison Square Garden. The restaurant is convenient to the Garden. We did not have reservations and it was around 4:30 pm when we got to the restaurant. We were told since no reservation we had about... More

On the recommendation of our hotel, my daughter and I visited Seven during our recent stay in NYC for the Westminster Dog Show. We happened to be there on Valentine's Day, an apt evening to fall in love with this cozy bistro. Chris, our waiter, had just the right touch of humor and helpfulness. We ordered the "Bang Bang Shrimp"... More

In town for the Westminster and found this little gem near our hotel. Easily got a reservation and recommend you do too because we got the last table available. We had good service throughout our meal. My pork chop was quite thick and a lot to eat. It was attractively served on a bed of whipped potatoes with grilled Brussels... More

Visited the Big Apple for five nights back in October. Went here on our second night and on our final night we were to meet friends elsewhere but seeing as it was so close to Seven we asked our friends to go there instead. When they asked "weren't we there already ?" I told them I had no problem returning... More

Had dinner here on the recommendation of a relative. The food is freshly prepared and delicious, and unique menu items to choose from. We had the Korean lettuce wrap appetizer and the lamb burger, both of which were outstanding! Service was friendly. The only donwside is that seating is a little cramped as tables are very close together. That being... More

Seven is a rare find in the neighborhood, located in the heart of Manhattan, steps away from New York's Penn Station, Madison Square Garden & the Fashion District offering a modern twist to classical dishes, warm hospitality & personalized service.

We're 'casual dining' rather than 'fine dining' but that doesn't mean our quality & service should be any less. We believe we've found the right balance with a passionate kitchen team & a charming front of house team along with a service ethos centered squarely on ensuring your experience with us is a great one.
