This is a really welcoming resturant and the food is excellent. If you want some traditional Italian food (and why wouldn't you whilst in NY) give it a go, you won't be disappointed.

Began with the Carpaccio di Branzino which was light, delicate and tasty. Followed with the Cavatelli ai Funghi Porcini. By the glass I enjoyed two Pierpaolo Pecorari wines, a sauvignon blanc and a cabernet sauvignon. This my first encounter with the winery, and both were delicious. This is a charming, small spot, so a reservation might be a good idea.

We stayed at a brownstone around the corner from this gem. Sadly it was towards the end of our trip did we find this place. Otherwise I would have eaten here for most of our meals! :-) It is small restaurant - I believe 7 tables of 4. The atmosphere is cute and the service is super friendly. There were... More

We had just parked the car and my husband and I were looking for a place to eat. We chose Piccola Cucina because our relatives from Italy were with us and they were hungry. What a wonderful choice. The name, which means small kitchen, is no lie. It is indeed a small but cozy place. The waiter was so moved... More

The food was great. The restaurant is small but the food was delicious. It had a cost feel to it. The service was super!

Second visit and won't be the last. Very tiny place (reservations are a must) but very cozy. And the food is delicious! Prices are very reasonable and service is great (always a good sign when you are being served by Italians in an Italian restaurant).

Staying in SoHo

Neighbourhood Profile
SoHo
Once the artistic hub of New York City, SoHo (South of Houston) is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway teems with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore by foot. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district –majestic cast-iron architecture everywhere you look. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city. The pretty streets of Nolita (North of Little Italy) offer a more sedate vibe, with plenty of tiny boutiques and hip restaurants to seek out.
