Very fascinated by the vast array of Italian goodies. Feels like we were in Italy. We were spoilt for choice of fine dining, food on the go. We enjoyed the Pizza by the slice. For about $6 we get a slice if gourmet Pizza. The fresh food section is well stocked with organic vegetables. Big selection of cheeses, pasta, vine,... More

A great destination place...be sure to plan to spend a few hours. Big marketplace, long lines but lots of choices and people watching so it doesn't seem so bad. Would be an excellent rating but for the crowds, but hey, it is NYC. It really is a must see😋

You can find both fresh and prepared Italian food at this place and convenient located at the famous Flatiron Building where you can combined a visit with food. Can be crowded at meal times. Take the train on the R or W line and get off at the 23rd Street station.

Five of us went for lunch. The food and ambience were excellent. We went to the one in the World Trade building upstairs. Views onto street excellent. The place is bigger than we thought but definitely worth a visit just to walk round and see all the amazing array of Italian delicacies on offer. Advise that you go early for... More

The desserts are great here! A fabulous one-stop shopping kind of place. One huge upper level of a building with an Italian marketplace where you can shop for food items as well as buy lunch/dinner, have a glass of wine, eat dessert, and enjoy a cappuccino. Delicious pizza and a fabulous array of desserts. Great place!

This place is so awesome! There is so much here to see and eat. And the food is so excellent at the pizza and pasta spot. We will be returning to try another section and I can't wait!

the concept is great in the coffee dessert area, a barista and bakery. In the seafood area, a seafood restaurant. Among the pasta and sauces, a pizzeria. If you are there to pick up a few things don't be hungry, and if you're there to get a bite, bring your shopping bag.

We visited this great food hall (Italian style) during our last visit and wanted to return again. Being visitors, not locals, we were and still are enchanted about all the offerings Italian-style in this building. One can dine, shop, buy groceries, gifts, or just dawdle through it all. Our visit combined all that. I wanted to get a Shake Shack... More

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighbourhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets- much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighbourhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being the home of a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
