For what you're served, I believe this place is overpriced. The single meatball ricotta appetizer (though it was large) was $26. A glass of sangria was $18. A dish of FraDiavolo was $49. With all your NYC restaurant options, there are plenty where the food is better or just as good, but much less pricey. I do have to give... More

My husband and I had reservation on a Saturday night. We arrived and were sat immediately. Unfortunately, the tables are tight and we asked to be seated somewhere that was not between two couples. They gave us the table next to the bathroom instead. We didnt complain because it was nice of them to even move us. The waitress did... More

We get Italian a lot in NYC and this is a solid but not outstanding option. Did not enjoy the Caesar salad much. The giant meatball and fried polenta apps were fantastic though and came highly recommended.

This is the place where you go for the after dinner party, don't expect much from the food, but be prepared to witness a great show from the dancers and be ready to be part of it. Would highly recommend if you're up to party! Cheers

Stopped in here with friends while walking around the city. Meals were pricey and mine was kind of cold. I had the truffled grilled cheese, and it could have used a few more minutes in the grill. The others were satisfied with their choices and portions were decent. I was a little disappointed in the price of the mimosas ($15)... More

I was tonight at Lavo. Restaurant is gorgeous. Nice food, great music and very good service. Afterwards, we got in the nightclub and doorman asked US$400. We agreed, however they kept our credit card and tried to obly us to buy a $700 bottle. Very bad service. We gave up and left. I strongly recomend the restaurant. AVOID nightclub!!!!!!!!!

I dined here with my boyfriend for lunch during NYC's restaurant week 2017. Prior to arriving at the restaurant I did not make reservations and we were seated immediately. It was not very busy when we arrived but when we were leaving people started flowing in for the after work bite (around 530PM). For appetizers we got the tuna tartare,... More

I visited here for brunch last week and had a blast. I usually try to mix things up when I visit New York, but I go back to Lavo every time I visit, because it is THAT good. Brunch runs from 2-7 on Saturdays, and you will need a table or reservation in advance to attend. The food is top... More

We visited Lavo as I had previously been to the bar in Las Vegas. The staff were very attentive and it was a nice atmosphere. Food menu was a little disappointing

Lavo is a great Italian restaurant. For lunch there is a 3 course fix price menu that has very good and different choices. Menu is great and has lots of choices. Ambient is exquisite. Don't miss.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
