The concept of a tasting menu based on traditional Italian dishes is an interesting one, and enables the kitchen to have a minimum inventory of quality ingredients. We enjoyed the meal, and found it interesting, but the dishes on offer in the tasting menu still...More

This is a far as you can get from your typical Little Italy food experience. Think "Foodie with an italian touch". Experimental cooking with a humorous touch (the dessert rabbit presentation was hilarious). Great staff, super nice setting but a bit limited on wine choice.

The food was outstanding, but my wife and I have to wait about 45 minutes for our 9pm reservation on a Thursday night. The problem is that the restaurant is very cozy and there is no bar or place to wait. We were sent next...More

We travel worldwide and enjoy good food. Our experience at Torrisi was mediocre at best. We anticipated a fine Italian dinner. Instead we had a family style tasting menu often with tiny courses we had to cut up and share. Dessert was a minuscule slice...More

I was lucky enough to score a last minute dinner reservation here and it was so worth it! I do think that the $100 cancellation fee is a bit extreme, but it is a very small space so I can understand the need to do...More

This was one of the best meals I have ever had, but it's a particular kind of customer that should dine at this restaurant. The food is FABULOUS-every dish is prepared with meticulous care and thought. The space is small, but it's New York-this happens...More

This was an underwhelming experience where they do 8 course tasting menu and try to rush you through the courses. The tables are ridiculously close to each other, making it difficult for the servers to serve and clear the food. I had the server's backside...More

3 day visit to NYC, my wife fancied Italian for our last night so I had a quick search of michelin starred restaurants and my eye was drawn to Torrisi. Tasting menu at $100 was great value we thought. The star of the show was...More

We were a bit taken aback when we realized that we were going to be in for a tasting menu which is not our idea of a typical Italian meal. We tried to cancel but would have been charged 100$ per person so we decided...More

Having been to Torrisi 2 years previously and loved it we were very excited at returning ( from Australia) to experience the wonderful food and warm service. Unfortunately this time was a totally different experience! Whilst some courses of the 10 course degustation were brilliant...More

Despite being just off of busy Houston Street, Nolita
maintains a low-key vibe that makes it a pleasant
retreat in the heart of lower Manhattan. Short for
“North of Little Italy,” Nolita was once considered to
be part of Little Italy. Today, the neighbourhood is
popular with young fashionistas popping in and out of
the chic independent boutiques that line Mulberry,
Mott and Elizabeth Streets. In addition to shopping,
