Having spent ten days in New York on business, this was the ultimate antidote to business fare. The food and service were excellent and yet light of touch. Everything was well thought through and the drinks and menu were at a good price point. Will return given the chance.

The Hurricane Club is absolutley pretentious with a lot of gimmicky drinks BUT when I head out for a night in the city with my girls I just want music, good food and alcohol and The Hurricane did it for me! I loved the cheesy watermelon drink even though it could of been stronger & the food was great! The... More

I love the coconut drink at the hurricane club and over the course of time it seems like the coconuts have grown in price and shrunk in size. My boyfriend and I used to go there every week literally for a whole year until recently we realized the taste has lost its consistency and again the size has diminished drastically.... More

I went here for my anniversary and birthday, and the food was amazing, but to make it better, the watermelon is 5 Stars for me. For appetizers we ordered the pork dumplings which were amazing, my wife loved the coconut rice she had, and I had the peking pig which made it 10x better with the steamed buns. The first... More

May be we are just lucky, but we had a really good time here! We were seated in a booth and had those amazing tropical cocktails and a selection of starters and mains to share. The staff was very attentive and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here.

Staying just across the road so popped in for dinner on our last night in New York, as we had passed the place daily and it looked lovely. It is great inside, atmospheric lighting, booths and a buzzing vibe. Unfortunately the food and organisation were both very poor. No water offered and mains came before we had even got halfway... Although the menu has changed and some of the better items have disappeared, there is a casual ambiance and kitch to this place that makes it comfortable and easy. Food is okay, but the drinks are excellent and why I keep coming back.

I was prepared to be impressed after hearing nice accolades from my son about the Hurricane Club, where he held his engagement party. It did not disappoint. We shared several appetizers, with shrimp and crab. They were wonderfully tasty and innovative in their preparation. For the main course, I had pork shoulders and my son had beef. Both were great!... Staying in Flatiron District

Neighbourhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets- much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighbourhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being the home of a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
