I stopped by on a very hot day for lunch, and my burrito was really delicious -- a bit tame by Mexico standards but some of the excellent condiments on offer brought back a bit of authentic flavor. Very friendly staff, and good cleanliness.

We wandered into this restaurant after visiting the nearby Museum of the City of New York. The burrito was served on a plate, with a knife and fork. I always eat it that way and this is the first place that's ever served it on a plate without being asked. That was a clue that the rest of the meal... More

It's a really good place to eat Mexico food, but I do wish it had a little stronger flavor of the true Mexican food. Good food none the less, and I world still recommend this place to anyone eating visiting New York City.

As we search for great Mexican food in NYC, El Paso rises to the heights of this short list. The food was delicious and authentic with a selection to please many palates. The decor was artistic, rustic and brought a piece of the Mexico to the food scene to NYC. The service was good, but uneven (guac &chips showed up... More

Guac & chips always great! Had the octopus tacos, octopus was a little tough. My friend had the steak fajitas and they were delicious!! Wish I ordered that instead. Service was great!

Warm welcoming environment and superb food and craft beers - especially the chicken enchiladas. Well worth the extra steps up from Museum mile.

Pretty mediocre Mexican food. I was consulting up in East Harlem and the organization graciously ordered food from this restaurant. We all split guacamole and I ordered a lunch sized burrito. There are literally NO vegetarian options on the entire menu. So, in all caps and with 5 stars in the front of the request and at the end, I... More

A bright room scattered with sunflowers give diners a comfortable spot for Mexican food on upper Lexington Avenue. The menu focuses mainly on standard American Mexican restaurant favorites, with a few more interesting dishes mixed in. Vegetarians have a few options to choose from. Ingredients are fresh and well prepared. The tables are crowded (even by New York standards) but... More

We stopped by for lunch after visiting the Museum of the City of New York. Very friendly staff, the menus offer a lot of choice and the food is very solid. The shrimp ceviche was outstanding but all the burritos, enchiladas and quesadillas we had were also very good. Good option for uptown.

Just looking for something to eat on a rainy afternoon in the area after visiting a museum a few blocks away, my wife and I stumbled upon this place. We were very pleased when we stepped inside as the restaurant is nicely decorated. There were only a few other people in there since it was about 3 PM, so late... More
