Stopped in for a drink after a meeting. Not an extensive beer selection, but good choices. Had a couple of Smithwicks in a corner booth. Really has a cozy pub feel, very neighborly. No food, so can't speak to that, but definitely worth stopping by...More

I've been here many times. It's usually for drinks, quick bar...but I've also been here for breakfast and that was really good. It's close to Grand Central, but it has a lot of character inside.

I was staying in the adjoining Grand Fitzpatrick Hotel. I went for the traditional Irish breakfast which was well cooked with very little grease. The outside patio was a godsend for a smoker on a cold winters evening. The patio heaters are amazing and very...More

No problems here. A nice pub with great people. Food was good. I had the steak. $36. Beers I think are $6. Patio out back as well which is covered. A good spot to pick.

The Wheeltapper celebrates the best of a traditional Irish pub, offering contemporary food and drink in an informal atmosphere. Together with the year-round outdoor Patio, this restaurant and bar is the perfect spot for breakfast, lunch, weekend brunch, dinner, or cocktails.

As fitting for a pub so close to Grand Central Terminal, the Wheeltapper's design includes authentic railroad artifacts and memorabilia from the turn of the century. Cozy and warm, the Wheeltapper's two bars, front and back, are comprised of quaint nooks for semi-private dining or drinking, and connected by the Carriage, a passage that closely resembles a classic railroad dining car. A fireplace warms up the back bar in cold weather.

A door takes you from the back bar out to the Patio, a 2,200 square foot outdoor garden wit seating for 48 people and plenty of room to stand and mingle. This unique space is covered with a retractable awning and heated in winter, allowing it to stay open year-round.
