Can't say enough positive things about this restaurant. To begin, it's a beautiful space; the staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. In March of this year I completed the Dean Ornish Heart Disease Reversal Program. Consequently, my diet has changed: protein is plant sourced, except for non-fat dairy and egg whites; no added oils or fats; lots of vegetables, moderate... More

We found ourselves at the Solomon Guggenheim on a busy day between Christmas and New Year's around lunch time and decided to try this restaurant on the lower level. Frank Lloyd Wright, of course, designed the Guggenheim, and this restaurant echoes many of his architectural elements both in the museum and in other structures. We thought it was a nice... More

Just wonderful food! We had pasta, burger, and salmon, and each dish was outstanding. The desserts were a great surprise also (the apple crumble was amazing) Everything presented beautifully and very tasty and tasteful, and great price for such quality meal. The service was a bit slow (in a rush to enjoy the Agnes Martin show) since it was 2:30... More

I met a friend at the Wright in the early afternoon before going to the Agnes Martin show upstairs at the Guggenheim. Neither she nor I had been to the Wright before. Even before I arrived she texted, "Here in restaurant. Lovely here and calm." She was right. Beautiful setting, a calm oasis in a busy city. The menu had... More

I had a very nice lunch at the museum last week. I had made reservations and had a bowl of tomato soup and a roasted chicken. With a glass of wine the bill was $41. I would go back

Returned to The Wright after a year's absence...oh, is it still good! Mouthwatering pasta and tomato soup; chocolate cake with perfect raspberries and delicious mocha ice cream side garnishes. Ahhhhhhhhhhh. Portions not too small, not too large.

Lovely space in basement of Guggenheim. You do not have to buy a ticket for the museum! Lovely food, and not especially expensive for where we are!

I had a lovely lunch there prior to doing the Guggenheim. The menu was varied, the service professional and the cost was lower than I would have thought for a museum restaurant. A recent experience at one of the cafes at the Natural History has made me very wary of those venues.

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
