We stopped off for a few drinks, the atmosphere and staff were very friendly so we decided to stay for food. We were able to book a meal and we were not disappointed, we can recommend the flatbread to start and the burgers. We enjoyed it so much we went back again!

An old friend and I grabbed an early dinner here and we were not disappointed. We were able to get a table with no wait around 5pm and 20 minutes later the place was overflowing. Started with some smooth old fashioneds and the crispy cheese curds. I'd put the curds up against anything from dairy country in the Midwest. For... More

I can't comment on the food as we were only here for drinks after work. It's a good space and a good selection on tap. The service was good despite it being very busy.

It's not often we eat pub food BUT this was both nutritious and delicious. Fun bartender and staff. Very casual and a great stop over for weary NY feet. Locals and travelers alike can enjoy it here.

I've been here twice for lunch. They have good comfort/pub food with some healthier and lighter options as well. I sat in the back the first time which was better for conversation. The front of the restaurant is noisy. I was with a friend/colleague so it was ok but if I went back for a more business lunch I would... More

Absolutely horrible customer service. The host refused to seat us at a booth so we could have dessert and drinks after a show. He had several booths open at the time. I would caution anyone who goes there and wouldn't recommend it. We are an African American family so I do believe race played a role in his decision. He... More

Reserved a table for four and got a call that day to confirm. We were old high school friends getting together from various parts of the country to meet up and chat. We knew we would be there for hours and we definitely kept the wine flowing. We shared appetizers of hummus and a flatbread Margarita pizza. We all had... More

We went here for supper on a weeknight and we were very happy with the service and atmosphere. This is a busy spot with a lot of people stopping in for drinks. Our meals were great and we loved the location because it was very close to our hotel.

The moment you enter the Park Avenue Tavern you forget you are on THE Park Avenue. The large rectangular bar dominates the space although there are enough bistro tables on the perimeter to permit dining. This feels like a pub you might expect to find in Hell's Kitchen. The only clue to the locale is the number of dark suited... More

Park Avenue Tavern is the quintessential American bar and restaurant. Steps away from Grand Central Station, Park Avenue Tavern centers around a combination of classic New York City elegance and over the top hospitality. Busy street traffic and the centrally located address offer opportunities for a clientele that demand and expect more, and Park Avenue Tavern most certainly delivers. The island bar is the centerpiece of the main level with large corner windows offering amazing light and displaying the city passing by outside. Rich dark woods, stone walls, and copper trimmings combine old world décor with new age thinking. The eight booths along the main wall give a sense of privacy, while simultaneously providing a front row seat to the activity at the main bar. Our unique semi-private area is perfect place to host a cocktail party for twenty of your closest friends, where deep leather bound couches and sturdy barn wood tables add to the comfortable yet upscale surroundings. The Barrel Room at Park Avenue Tavern features Self-Serve Beer Taps, which are available by Reservation Only.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
