This chain has become as ubiquitous as Starbucks in Manhattan. the good thing is they all feel a bit unique, but not the menus. The food is good, not cheap and not overly generous. I liked it well enough to return

Service was off today - a bit slow..but our food was fabulous. We love the pastry items. I had the baked eggs. The Chicken soup was great - as is the avocado toast. HIGHLY recommended.

What I wrote two years ago is still valid.- Good soups, some warm dishes, but primarily salads and open face sandwiches al of which is ideal for a quick meal before a concert at Carnegie Hall. And if you can allow yourself to indulge, the pastries are very good. I should also mention that true to its name the breads... More

This is a nice lady's breakfast/lunch restaurant. The servings are lady like and even the choices of food lean away from hearty. This is mainly a bakery with very nice looking pastries and quiches. Don't look for hearty omelettes or bacon and three eggs. You'll want to go elsewhere if that's your idea of a meal. It's also crowded and... More

I like this place for its location and familiarity. Lived in the area for five years and always return there. Lately, it seems there is turnover and service can be slow/sloppy if you go during busy times. I love the mission and the original menu. Quinoa, avocado and great tartness.

This is one place that everyone in my family can agree on for a quick delicious meal. We love the waae and the latte is sheer bliss. Only issue we ever have is that these eateries do nit have any type of soda and my husband must have a dier coke with his meals. None the less we love them!

Maybe one of my favorite places to eat in the area. This time I had butternut squash soup, with avocado toast and a little side salad. Just enough to fill up with healthy goodness and enjoy the day. You really should give this a try...stop and take in the baked goods that await you as soon as you walk in... More

We have been there many times to have a lunch before going to a matinee at Lincoln Center. The place is always bustling and you might have to wait for a few minutes to be seated. The food - open faced sandwiches, soups, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, is tasty. The atmosphere is very casual, rustic. It's close to Lincoln Center... More

So I order the bakers lunch which is a special they had for the day. Soup, 1/2 toasted avocado bread and quinoa/arugula salad. Just amount of food for one person. My soup choice was the turkey chili. It was hot, tad spicy and very favorable. Bread was toasted to perfection and the salad was bountiful. Highly recommend this choice!
